This hotel has it all: clean rooms with lots of space, great location in a nice and quiet neighborhood, relatively close to downtown. Free internet access from your room. The staff is knowlegable and very helpfull. Breakfast is decent and free. A complimentary diner buffet is offered is is pretty limited and served bain marie style. Not a problem however, there are plenty nice restaurant of all types close by. Supermarket, movie theater, Key arena and much more at a walking distance of the hotel. Gym in the hotel is the only thing that could use some improvement, but there are several gyms (Rain, Golds, 24 hrs fitness) close by.

As the many phrases in its name imply,

As the many phrases in its name imply, this hotel is on Pike Street, just north of the Convention Center. It's four blocks away from Sixth Street, where many of large hotels (Sheraton, Hilton, Crowne Plaza) are located. For my conference, the rates here were significantly lower ($135 with discount, vs. $180-$190 on Sixth Street). Fold in the complimentary breakfast, and an evening reception and meal (except weekends, I believe), and it was an excellent deal. My room was not a suite; but was a perfectly adequate, standard king-bed room. A large LCD-screen TV faced the bed, and a small balcony overlooked a courtyard-like space behind Pike Street, flanked by several condominiums. The overall space was somewhat smaller than average, but was well laid out, and would have worked just fine for two people as well as a single. The hotel was quiet, and although my room had a door connection to the neighboring suite, it didn’t lead to any additional noise. Being on the backside of the building meant that the street noise was zero.Breakfast both mornings was extensive, and opened promptly at 6:30. The first buffet server held freshly cut fruit and yogurt. Cereals and a wide assortment of breads were available, and individual carafes of waffle batter were ready for those wanting to use the waffle iron. The first morning, the hot line held omelets, hash browns, and sausage; the second morning it was scrambled eggs and bacon. The evening reception offered complimentary wine and beer to guests, although I missed that event; the dinner I saw was far more substantial than I expected, with salad, bread, vegetables, and beef stroganoff (which, although I was headed out for salmon, I had to sample. Not bad.)The front desk staff were friendly and courteous, greeting me each time I came and went. I didn’t ask anything special of them, but they seemed competent. Their smallish reception counter is just inside the door, on the edge of a large lobby that’s divide into three seating areas, divided by two-way fireplaces and designed to seat people for the breakfasts and evening receptions. My only complaint during the two-night stay was the large floor-drying fans on the landing by the elevator. They weren’t loud enough for me to hear in my room, about six doors down the hall, but they were clearly there to dry some kind of moisture that had made its way into the carpet. A faint musty smell filled the hallway, but didn’t make it into the room.It was convenient to my meeting, as well: a four-block walk to the Sheraton, and took five minutes. For a future stay in Seattle, I’d definitely consider this place, whether traveling for business or pleasure.

I was in Seattle for a conference at the adjacent Washington State Convention and Trade Center. Located in a nice neighborhood of downtown Seattle.Length of stay at this hotel was 4 days. This hotel charged the least amount for parking compared to the other near-by motels. Since we were there for the week it was much more comfortable to have a suite rather than just a room. It was pretty cool to get comfotable, clean accomodations in a safe neighborhood for the same price that the higher end hotels charge for just a room. Free wireless internet and comfortable work area. Much more value for your money. The staff at this hotel are very courteous and helpful. They also had a healthy, in-the-bag complimentary breakfast available every morning. The rooms are very clean and new.Not much to the fitness facility but fitness buffs can use the nearby Gold's. By the way, there is an excellent smoothie stand in the same building as Gold's. The pool is just okay since it is just 4 ft deep! Didn't check out the spa. They don't have a restaurant inside the hotel, so you have to dine out or order take out. There's a Cheesecake Factory a few blocks away. Seceral good restaurants and coffee places around. We could see the Space Needle from the front of the hotel. Pike's Place Market, Seattle Art Museum, Pioneer Square, and the Seattle Public Library are also close by. The city metro bus runs free in the downtown core during the day so it is easy to visit these places or visit China Town. Close to Macy's, Adidas, Nike, Nordstrom, etc... Pike Place Market is close enough to walk to if you're up to.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days since I had a conference in the adjacent Washington State Conference center. This is a very nice hotel to stay at right in downtown Seattle. It is located approx 15 miles from Sea-Tac. Although the Gray line of Seattle doesn't stop here, one can always take the shuttle express. The closest gray line stop is at the Sheraton which is at 6th and Pike. The people at this hotel are very courteous and helpful. They even had a very nice complimentary breakfast available every morning. The rooms are very clean and new. Although they take a while in cleaning the room once you hang the tag outside your door, they do a very good job. The fitness facility is very poor. So, the fitness freaks out there can use the nearby gold's gym which is very nice. The pool is just okay..just 4 ft deep! The spa looked not too inviting. But the rest of the hotel is just great. They don't have any restaurant inside the hotel, so you necessarily need to dine out. There's a cheesecake factory 2 blocks away. Located in a very nice neighborhood of Downtown Seattle. Close to many shopping malls and macy's, adidas, nike, nordstrom, a&f etc etc..lots of good restaurants and coffee places around (obviously, this being seattle!!!). Pike place market is at a very walkable distance. Overall, a good place to stay for a budget traveler.

Small details on the rooms would make them great. Doors not sealed sufficiently to keep out the freeway noise. Phones not hooked up. Towel racks put on crooked. Staff was ok but not of the problem solving type. Breakfast was free and excellent. They were renovating so that could have caused some of the finishing work problems. I would go back to give it another try because they give a lot for the money.

We just felt like they should have let us know the first day. Still would have stayed!!! We would consider staying again on our next visit.

One of the better hotel values in downtown Seattle. Located close enough to all the sites. Rooms were clean with comfortable bedding and plenty of space. Staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was outstanding. A great place to stay! Walked all day and slept like a baby at night.

Good location for walking downtown and on/off I-5 & nice view of downtown & Space Needle. Parking was $25 a day, room was clean but "worn" and lighting was dim. No business center to print or copy anything. Comfy bed, but bad pillows & blankets. Nice patio, but no furniture/chairs to sit
