Once the facilities could've been 3-star, but that is no longer the case.The smell of cannabis (pot) wafted through the corridor near my room. The room smelled and the toilet was in poor condition. The Holiday Inn Rancho Bernardo should be considered a 2-star facility. The overall condition of the hotel smacks of early-nineties amenities that are getting threadbare in appearance. On the contrary, a sister facility located in Miramar reflects a true 3-star hotel, despite their dreadful breakfast service facilities.
