It was cold when you entered your floor. I think they did some renovating at one time. They are trying to spruce it up, but it is like patching a totaled car. When you arrive in your room you are greeted with a heavy plastic card (on the toilet no less) that describes the safety suggestions so you dont get mugged. There are lots of people apparently living in the hotel and using the laundry rooms on each hall as well as lots of parties with banging and loud noise. There are lots of areas of peeling wallpaper, cracked fixtures, paint bubbles, and generally failing facilities.
