The people here are very welcoming. It is always clean. The rooms are quiet and nice. We stay here on a regular basis when we take trips to KC and wont even consider staying somewhere else. The only thing here I have ever had a problem with was the Green Mill restaurant that was attached. We did try and eat here one morning and we ordered drinks and 15 minutes later still did not have them. We got up and left at that point. But I would not let that reflect upon the hotel or it's staff. The rooms are clean and pillows and mattresses have been upgraded. Very comfortable sleep. The only complaint that I have for this hotel is that the Green Mile Restaurant that is on site had a terrible staff. We ended up walking out of the restaurant before we even got to order after waiting 20 minutes to place our order. But the hotel is wonderful. I was never once greeted by anybody. They just checked me in and out. Nobody asked me how my stay was or even just how I was doing. I stayed there for 5 nights and nobody bothered to speak a single word to me. I was treated like a ghost. I had terrible pink dirty carpet. The fridge was always leaking water. Hairs in the tub and all over the floor. My room smelled like urine. When I took off my sheets I found a huge stain that looked and smelled like pee. I flipped the mattress over only to find the same on the other side. There were bugs coming in through the window and air conditioner. I talked to the Housekeeping manager about my issues and he basically blew me off and nothing was fixed or cleaned for the next 4 days until I checked out. My bill was left as is and I recieved no discount what so ever. We got a suite for a little over $100/night. The room had a fridge and microwave. Excellent value! They advertise the pool as indoor/outdoor, but it's all outdoors with a cover over part of it. We couldn't use it during the storms. A little misleading. Very good, friendly service; the girls ate for free at the Green Mill Restaurant - yummy. Internet computer in the lobby. We'd go back!!
