The pool was great for the kids. They should have a member of the staff in the pool area though, a lot of kids were running up the water slides rather than sliding down them...making it rather difficult for my 4 year old to have a chance to use them. The hot tub wasn't filled all the way. The hallways were way too long. It took like 5 minutes to walk from our room to the front desk. What ever happened to complimentary breakfast? Does anyone do that anymore? The staff at the Holiday Inn were great , right from the reception desk ,the restaurant , the lounge , to housekeeping . The food was very good , and we really loved " Happy Hour " . The staff was really helpful at finding us a great sushi bar, something hard to find in ND. The room smelled fresh and clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant food was OK for the prices, we also made sure we did not go during peak hours. It is very close to the mall and other shopping. Perhaps because we stayed there on a Tuesday night, we did not deal with crowds or children. We told the rest manager " she couldn't care less" we have 3 children also we expect more from the Holiday Inn... In-house restaurant was very good and open at all hours of the day (unlike the Ramada Inn in Grand Forks, but that's another story!) Staff we encountered (incl. housekeeping) were all friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the housekeeping has seen a downturn since our last visit. The room was fine when we first checked in. On the second night, the room was not cared for in an acceptable manner. Used towels were left in the room. The bathroom was not cleaned properly. We never did get any shampoo and we never got new soap on the second night. In the restaurant the 10% discount for seniors was not given. I didn't notice the error until I checked out.
