The hotel is situated in such a way

The hotel is situated in such a way that if you aren't coming in from the correct direction, there is no way to turn into the hotel. We drove around four times before getting into the parking lot. It is also situated right next to a cemetery, which was kind of weird. The hotel was under construction due to water damage, which was not noted when I booked the room. I accidentally booked a smoking room and was unable to get it changed, but would have been charged a whole night's stay to have canceled, and since we paid online they wouldn't let us pay for an upgrade to a non-smoking suite, which they did have available. When we got there, the first room we were given had a family of ants in the bathroom. We were moved to a second room that was freezing cold and the heater didn't work and they had no maintenance or housekeeping people working to help fix it. We were moved to a third room where we ended up staying. It reeked so badly that even the stuff in our suitcase (which we kept closed as much as possible) ended up smelling of stale smoke. I chose a Holiday Inn Express because they're usually pretty nice, but I guess that is just the new ones, not older hotels that have been converted to one. On the plus side, the girl at the front desk was very nice and truly did seem to be trying to do what she could to help us find a satisfactory room.

They offered a free breakfast.Difficult entrance into driveway. The hotel and it's accommodations fine. The access to the hotel from the road if your on the opposite side of the highway is difficult.

Very good breakfast bar.Extremely small bathroom, almost unusable, very damp room that felt clammy all the time. The hotel was quite new, but bathroom was nearly unusable it was so small. The door blocked the tub, had to bend over the sink & toilet to see mirror. Also the room was clammy & damp no matter how we adjusted the heat AC.

It was very comfortable and the rooms were nice.Hotel staff was very unorganized and rude. It is not somewhere I would stay again based on my experience with the staff and the difficulty getting in and out of the property. I believe it has been recently renovated and my non-smoking room smelled like smoke and left all belongings smelling of smoke. More ideal for a business trip than a leisure trip.

Overall excellent, room was exceptionally clean, friendly staff.Nothing. It was everything I expected. The hotel was an excellent value. Compared to the other hotels in the area, the room rate was cheaper, but the room was clean, the staff friendly and it was conveniently located right off the freeway and a short drive into downtown Annapolis.

I stayed in a suite with a jacuzzi tub.

I stayed in a suite with a jacuzzi tub. The tub was great and a good size. The suite was only an additional $* when I booked the room. The room was large and clean. I had a nice view of the cemetery next door. The road to the entrance goes one way and I had to keep passing it and making u-turns to get in. The continental breakfast sucked and stay away from the cinnamon buns. It was nice place but the jacuzzi made up for a lot.

Have star bucks.Someone neighboring my room kept slamming their door until 12:30 a.m. And toilet gurgled horribly at 2:00 a.m. And again 9a.m., it was scary! Did not get a good nights sleep, neighboring room kept slamming their door all night long up until 12:30 a.m. Waking me up again at around 2 a.m. Toilet sounded like it was going to explode and it did it again when I was packing to leave at about 9 a.m.! I told the front desk but she did not do anything like report it or say anything about it!

This is a Holiday Inn Express. The webpage said Days Inn. We spent 30 minutes looking for a Days Inn until I called them in frustration and discovered the change. We reserved a nonsmoking room. The room had a "no smoking" sign. It also had ashtrays and smelled terrible. The A/C barely worked. The room was stuffy and stank all night. My clothing in my luggage even smelled the next day. The staff response was to give me a card to call the manager when he/she got in. Go somewhere else; don't stay here.

A nice place

This is a nice hotel -- very clean room (a bit compact though) and good breakfast.

My only complaint is how the hotel parking lot entrance is located. It is accessible only on one side of the street. If you just come off Rt-50, you need to drive past the hotel to the next block and make a U-turn just to get to the entrance.
