It was the smallest room my family & I have ever stayed in. The beds were very small. We only had an option for 2 double beds. There was not enough room on the beds. My husband slept with 1 of our children and I slept with our other child. Very small. However, the room was very clean. Plasma TV was good. There was no option/restaurant available for room service. Chili's is in the parking lot.There are many raccoons in the hotel parking lot at night.“The hotel is convenient for beach goers. The hotel was pretty quiet. The swimming area is okay. The hotel is very close to several local eateries. The rooms were pretty clean. However, the double beds are full size and not made for taller people. Reminded me of a converted motel. Walls were thin, bathroom very small. Convienently located near Monterey and Carmel-by-the-sea, but I paid the same price for a B&B in Sonoma the day before and Palo Alto the day after and there was a world of difference. I walked in to the lobby the young lady looked me in the eyes, did not say a word turned back to the Hispanic couple she was helping said something in Spanish at which time the gentleman customer turned to me and turned back to the hotel staff person and they both giggled. Then 5 minutes later without a word the staff person said and what can I do for you? Room was obviously refurbished, which was a great surprise - new bedding, cabinetry, and marble-topped surfaces. However, our door still opened to the open-air (motel-like building), and the location, obviously, isn't within walking distance of anything (other than a gas station and home depot). Oh!
