Without typing some long winded nonsense about how horrible or wonderful this place is, I will just give you the down and dirty on this place. My family has been owners for many many years, in fact my Dada bought fixed week 42 in the preconstruction days when all the whole place was just dirt.

I booked a one bedroom villa and they shoved me off in some filthy hotel room. I never heard of a place that doesn't give you clean towels daily especially when you are paying a lot to stay at that s**t hole. Their staff sucked. Very unhelpful.

"TOO EXPENSIVE" Lower your prices PLEASE.

LIKES: Pools everywhere, nice golf courses, rooms OK needs upgrading, good location, clean resort, safe, a lot of land acres-potential, activities.

DISLIKES: Not too much to do in bad weather, needs more indoor activities. If only they would lower the prices on some amenities/activities/food/drinks, everyone would be a lot happier and spend more money here instead of going out to get it. Economy is bad therefore prices should drop. I'm sure they have less workers doing more for the buck. Services are so-so. DO NOT GO TO THEIR PRESENTATIONS or any other ones unless you want to spent 3-4 hours of your vacation with them. You want to buy/rent a unit here, go on craigslist.com and you'll find plenty for a lot less.

We went in Feb 2009 and were disappointed. Customer Service was horrible to non-existent. We paid to stay an extra night due to our airfare schedule and were "guaranteed" prior to our arrival (and even at check-in) that we would not have to change rooms for the one additional night. Still, on our last full day they were knocking on our door to change rooms. Kids got sick during the trip and our washer was going constantly - still customer service wouldn't lend us extra towels - until we complained "up the ladder" and HOURS later 3 more towels arrived. Restaurants are not better than average, and when you throw in sub-par waiter/waitress staff, they are not worth the time or money. I think they try to be everything to everybody - and don't succeed. It seemed as though everyone on staff was a new hire and didn't know how to handle customer concerns. The worst part was the heavy-handedness of the sales people - pushing the tours on you when you're checking in with tired kids, numerous calls to the room for the same purpose. They don't seem to understand that with poor customer service, we don't WANT to buy there. The bottom line is that there are far too many nice timeshare resorts in the Orlando area to accept anything like this. My time is valuable to me, and I don't want to waste it solving problems, when I should be relaxing. Beautiful grounds, definitely, but there are better places to stay - we go down at least twice a year, but will never go back to Orange Lake. Or Holiday Inn - whatever they are now calling it.

For everyone who says the service sucks this is not like the trump tower the people hear are not going to wait on you your entire time. River Island is the best in hotel waterpark i have ever stayed at. The only real negetive is that their is a sewage smell in the east village but you cannot smell in inside the rooms.

We are owners. I really liked the slaes people. No high pressure sales pitches. The place really sales itself. We have been going for 3 years now and have yet to regret buying. We also love the RCI benfits! We used those for our Honeymoon last year to go to New England! Orange lakes is a fantastic resort and there is so much to do on-site, you really don't even need to leave. Disney is almost in your back yard!

We love this resort and have been coming here for 9 years. They keep making improvements and updates to make it better. The pools are fantastic. They have an amazing lazy river pool area and several zero entry pools that are perfect for younger children. There are 4 golf courses to enjoy also. Can't wait to go back.
