The hotel condition and cleanliness was above average for a city hotel but thats not why I'm writing the review. The staff and I mean all of them from the maid service, front desk bartender and cooks were the most helpful friendliest staff I've ever encountered. They continually went out of there way so many times to keep me and the other guest comfortable. (Cabs are popular at night!) Hotel is clean, good wireless, good fitness room, limited menu. Restaurant is somewhat short-staffed as most restaurants in New Orleans, but not a big problem. I live in Milwaukee and, as it happened, we got 10 inches of snow and my flight was cancelled on a Saturday. Keeping in mind that we had reserved 10 rooms and had 9 people staying there, I called the hotel directly and asked them to please keep my room reservation open and told them to go ahead and bill the empty room to the credit card they had on file. (They are so particular about having a credit card to bill to and then the one time you ask them to, they don’t). So I get down there the next day and they were sold out. It's now 8 pm and I managed to find a room at another hotel (for one night).
