It was centrally located for all the activities we were doing in the LA area. The fact that it is next to a golf course made it seem like it wasn't in the middle of a major metropolis. The Hilton Garden Inn was perfect for us. It is about 15 minutes from the hospital (and downtown LA) and they have a special rate you can obtain, through the hospital concierge, if you have a family member staying at the hospital. The hotel itself was beautiful and sits in the middle of a golf course. Probably the safest hotel you can stay in anywhere in the area. My mom stayed here, alone, for several weeks while my dad was in the hospital. The staff was very kind and supportive to all of us. The Grill is a great place to eat and right in the lobby of the hotel. It was very nice, easy to find, yet so secluded. You have no idea that the 60 freeway is right next to it. They have a great staff at the restaraunt, and an outside patio area that is great for cocktails. The outdoor patio is overlooking the golf course. I loved this place, it was awesome. I just want to make sure that everyone out there tries this place if they get the opportunity.
