Great location.Charge for parking.“Very nice hotel, but I am surprised that an upscale hotel like this charges for parking. The matresses are very comfortable. Overall, one of my favorite places to stay in Anchorage.”

$ Club Floor Lounge & poor maintenance

My wife and I stayed at the ANC Hilton in July 2008. Two of the three elevators were broken for the better part of our two night stay and no one seemed to see an urgency about it. People were waiting 40 minutes to go up and down at peak times. Early

Average for a Hilton

Having selected the Hilton due to closeness to railway station (and use of Hilton reward stays), the hotel met my expectations.

I only decreased the rating to a 3 comparing to what have come to expect from other Hilton properties, but would still recommend as a great option.
Some of the comments by other reviewers are accurate. My room was oddly laid out and very little space around the bad. Hotel building is not as new as other properties in downtown, but very well located to both the train depot and resturaunts (note the train whistle may wake you - latest 10pm and earliest 6:15am).

Having stayed at many Hilton's, I would say a middle of the line Hilton property.

Not a good experience

Location was great. Everything else, not good at all. Room was very small and not very clean. Bathroom had backed up tub, blackened moldy mat, and hair everywhere. Face cloths were not provided. Floor was not vacuumed and there was someone's dirty socks under the bed. Heat/air conditioning did not work. Television remote was covered in grease and the keys stuck. Met several guests with comparable experiences. In a 4-day stay, I never once saw a cleaning person. We only knew they were there because they made the bed and one day left our door opened. A baby crib filled with dirty linens was left in the hall all 4 days. Front desk clerk was apologetic and said he'd look into it but nothing changed. If you need to stay in Anchorage, find another hotel.

No Hilton Honors benefits

Very un organized front desk personnel .... I stayed on the Hilton Honors floor 11th floor .... I read what the amenities there was at the hotels before booking.
But found out I didn’t use any , I thought the lounges accessible since I had a club accessible floor , but it doesn’t matter , paid extra for upgrades but really it didn’t matter. I am a HHonors member and I had to pay for my Internet and there is no refrig in the room, no free bottled water, and snacks as I usually have in all my stays , I didn't feel like I was staying at a Hilton. I am glad I stayed just 4 days because I found other places I will stay at whenever I should return.
The tub wasn't draining; the toilet wouldn't flush unless you held the handle down.
Parking and checking in is difficult, just 2 cars can stop in at the corner front door and traffic backs up, Look elsewhere.

Find Another!

Having stayed at many Hilton properties this was the worst for service and staff.
The resturants were sub standard for service and food. The morning server did not understand why I didn't want to eat at the buffet but to order from the menu. Then the concept of scrambled eggs took 3 tries to explain. I suggest finding another hotel.

Hotel just Okay

They gave us a "Room" on the 7th floor #712. It was so small you had to turn sideways to pass between the TV and bed. Certainly not the double room we booked. The service was good. The business center charged for internet service. No hetel parking lot. All and all I was not impressed with what we got for the price.

Decent place to stay

This Hilton was not the best hotel I had ever stayed in, however the staff was great. Everyone at the front desk was pleasent and Renee, the consiage, was wonderful and friendly. The rooms were ok if a bit crowded and I did not have a great view, but I can deal with that. The food was only so-so and I would recommend eating elsewhere. My only real problem was the internet. For some reason the Hilton continues to charge for wireless internet when even my local McDonalds has free internet service now... Why is this?
