No one is perfect, but we had a bad experience three ways. First, and worst, the bathroom was filthy. The rim of the toilet was coated with hairs as was the floor. Second, the person who designed the furniture in the room should be fired. The outside wall (with the window in it) was covered with a beautiful piece of wooden furniture. It had to cost a small fortune. In the middle was on very small closet space. Next to it was on small inadequate desk. A lot of the space inside the box was totally inaccessable. It looked good, but was pretty useless. Finally, we picked the wrong weekend to stay there. It was the weekend of a big kids soccer tounament. The place was crawling with what seemed like thousands of kids. Noise at night. The staff so genuine and caring for our family. The breakfast was superb and the hostess assisted my children so I could assist my youngest. The rooms are newly remodeled and were gorgeous. They helped us find cool local restaurants instead of those chains. They also have freshly baked cookies every evening. I will continue to stay here in the future. The beds were the best I've ever slept in on a trip and the room itself was very nice w/new cherry wood furniture and nice lights. The pool and hot tub were nice. The staff was for the most part friendly. We stayed when several serve storms passed thru and lost power twice, once for over an hour. We only noticed it when the room was getting warm due to no AC. They offer a hot breakfast but we never made it downstairs to try it out. This hotel is located in a good spot between the down town attractions and the highway to head to the west side for shopping. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff who greet you like they actually care if you are comfortable and happy. The staff was exceptionally nice and kind. I would say they were outstanding in their warmth and consideration of their guests. They go out of their way to make your stay with them positive. The rooms are inviting, the temperature can be adjusted easily and quickly to your liking, hotter or colder to just right. The bathrooms are clean. The showers are hot. They have a full length mirror so you can look your best for business meetings. Ironing boards/good iron in the room so you can look sharp! The cleaning crew was friendly and considerate. The food was displayed in an appealing way. The hotel felt safe. I would definitely stay there again. We were suprised because we didn't know it had been since the year before. The rooms are beautiful, with gorgeous cherry wood furniture. The beds were brand new and were so comfortable. And the staff was amazing. Every time we had a question or needed assitance the desk staff (and housekeeping too) were right there to help. I've never seen staff like this hotel. Hotel was nice. Everything appeared new and clean. There was an on-site fitness center with 2 treadmills and an elliptical. The only negative was you had to walk outside to get into the fitness center but it is NOT off-site. I got in late and unfortunately did not find many snack choices in the vending machine but breakfast in the am was good. Scrambled eggs + all the usual fare. We had family come in from California and Florida. We all stayed here and it was wonderful. Close enough to everything we needed to pull the party together - grocery store, party store, etc. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. Breakfast area made for a great place for the family to gather in the evenings to catch up on everything happening in everyone's life. Rooms were clean as was the hotel in general. Great value!
