This hotel is not only the best and most comfortable, but for the money it's the least expensive. I took some friends from Florida and Chicago with me this past year and everyone raved about the proximity (I had a car) and even the view of the river just across the street. The smallest and most cramped hotel at Niagara-on-the-Lake is much more expensive. If you are driving, this is the place to stay. You are already part way up to Niagara-on-the-Lake when you're at this Hampton Inn. Moreover, by being away from the sometimes noisy downtown area, you are assured of a good night's sleep. The breakfast was generous in typical Hampton style. Pool was a decent size and very clean, kids loved it. Small fitness room, but usually empty. I always feel welcome at Hampton Inns and this one is no exception. Very convenient to the US Casino, and in summer the falls. Other than that Niagara Falls USA is not Niagara Falls Canada. Finding other people only 2 blocks away from the falls on the US side is often a challenge. There is not much around. Our room was very clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The breakfast each morning was nice especially since on the U.S. side there are few restaurants available. The lady who hosts the breakfast takes real pride in her work and it shows. The hotel looks new and the staff looks like they are committed to keeping it that way. They do the little things to make your stay enjoyable. We originally booked a regular room then upgraded to a spa suite. The room was clean but kind of dated, not bad enough to make us never want to stay here again or anything. The first night we stayed here my wife heard and felt someone walking in our room and sit on the bed next to her, later the same night we both heard someone walking around in our room, that happened everynight of the 5 nights we stayed here, the last night we both felt someone sitting at the edge of our bed, the bed was pushed down between our feet. We jumped out of the bed turned on the lights and the TV for light and noise. The staff were great and the rooms were clean and OVERSIZED, and with a family with small children this is great. Breakfast was just enough for us to get started and we could walk to most of the attractions.
