DONT EVER GO THERE. ITS TERRIBLE.

April 18th 2008 PAID 75$ that was with tax
We visited the Grand inn and conference center. Grand rapids Michigan.
It was by far a Disgrace.
I have been to some Low class Hotels Like
Motel 8, and 40$ a night hotels. That would put this place to shame.
There was a lot of things wrong.
When we arrived. Right off the bat they gave us a room.
WHICH was the wrong room but when you walked in there was BEER bottles.
The bedding on the floor dirty towels things torn apart and for god sakes in the basement.
We went back up and said. Sir you gave us the wrong room. We had a Smoking room with a king bed. ( cant say it was TO overly smelly. Most of the smell was Smoke with some MUSTY and MOLD)
When they got us the right room. There was Blood on our Comforter, A dirty NASTY towel left in the dresser, Mold (I'm allergic to mold) In the shower. And something that appeared to be food on the floor. We arrived there around 12:30pm. We LEFT and went site seeing cause we couldn't cancel.
We returned and decided to check out the pool. As returning to my room. There was still things all OVER the hallway floor. I ignored it. Thought maybe they were a person short. They will surly get to it soon. We went down to the “heated indoor pool” Which was Freezing btw. The chairs in there were DIRTY had grime and things all over it. Windows had Scum on them. There were showing pipes and a “road cone” over a open pipe at the deep end. IF you went above you could see the bottom of the pool which should be BLUE. Was now Scum green. SO we went back to the room. I went down and informed the women at the desk that the hallway had something that appeared to be food smeared in front of my room. Its been there scence 12:30pm and its now 7pm She said she would be there in a moment. She came and checked it out. Knocked on my door. And said. “it appears to be Insulation from the cealing not food.” and that if she gets to it. She will have it vacuumed. A hour later. I began to get sick. I started vomiting, sweating and throat hurt. I told my fiance it was time to go. He went downstairs and asked the guy if we could have half the money back. The guy said he would give us “5 dollars” We left.
SO DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN THERE, THE PICTURES ARE DECEVING. WHAT YOU SEE IS NOT WHAT YOU GET. THERE ARE DANGERS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND I WILL BE GETTING HOLD OF SOME SORT OF HEALTH DEPARTMENT. THIS IS REDICULAS. IF SOMEONE WOULD JUST CLEAN AND GET THEM THINGS TAKEN CARE OF IT COULD SOMEHOW BE A NICE PLACE. BUT I WOULD RATHER SLEEP IN MY CAR THEN EVER GO THERE AGAIN. I DONT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. SPEND THE EXTRA 10-20$ AND GO SOMEWHERE WITH A CLEAN WARM POOL MINUS THE ALGE, MILDEW AND MOLD.

Mold Heaven

If you want to stay in an old half-way house that is dirty, old, and smells like mold this is your pick. Two days there and I can't breathe from the imbedded filth.

I had to baracade myself in each night even though they have camera's throughout.

Not a nice place, not even for a minute!

Once again, never judge a book by its

Once again, never judge a book by its website. What looked like a perfectly nice conference center turned out to be a set from a David Lynch movie. Smelly, dark, creepy, flimsy and mostly vacated, we had planned two nights but fled after one. To his credit, the manager forgave the second night's fee. A great place to die with a crack pipe in your hand.

No HELP AT ALL

I tried to book my reception for my wedding here and Paula the sales lady totally ignored me and 2 months went by along with 3 calles to the mgr before I was told that they were booked. So I found somewhere but then still tried to give them bussness and block some rooms for my wedding because I am getting marriad on Plainfeild and I though it is perfect location for my family and friends so they dont get lost in the big GR so anyways Paula again is who I had to go through Yes she got back with me in a timly matter this time but told me they were booked and could not help me. this was last week this week my friend comes into town and decides to stay there so while I am there I checked to see if there were any openings The girl told me that they had plenty open for fri the 18th and 15 open for the 19th I only needed 8 rooms for both nights. So now my faimly is going to be spread out and I hope they dont get lost the messed up part is I sent my invites out Friday and was there on Sat. So in my eyes this hotel was no help at all and does not deal with people correctly. I am sorry I even considered them remember at 65$ a room you get what you pay for witch is an old nasty hotel anyways.0

Musty Room

The room was very musty. My clothes still smelled musty 3 weeks (and 3 washings) after staying 1 night there. Finally, I had to use non-chlorine bleach to kill the odor. I was about to throw the clothes out.
