Hotel Grand Hyatt in New York is a luxury hotel with state-of-art facilities. The marble-clad lobby features gold, black and scarlet décor, providing it a mind-boggling look. The waterfall cascading from the lobby’s upper level to the lower-level fo

I like this hotel! If you get tired of "big box" hotels, this one is a superb change of pace. Part of an up-and-coming area of Seattle that is still close to the great shopping and FishMarket areas, the hotel is ultra clean and friendly--a bit "zen-like" with its marble, fireplaces, clean lines, orchids, etc. Doormen and the front desk staff, as well as the restaurant/bar servers, are always friendly and helpful. (The restaurant was making some changes in staff but the food and service were still just fine.) The small plaza where the hotel sits has a GREAT spa, a Whole Foods store, a couple of new restaurants, a pharmacy, a few odd/quirky shops (a plant store, a dog bakery, a small furniture store), and a FedEx/Kinko's all within steps of the hotel's front door. I highly recommend it.

The rooms are clean but very small. Not really meant for a family to share.
However, don't eat there. The food is so over priced!!! Our breakfast on Christmas morning for 4 people was 140.00. I have never felt so ripped off!!!!!
There are so many other places to eat in the area that are good.
The hotel is located in a great area. Walking distance to everything!!!!

Great staff, Lobby common areas.Vanity box empty, torn carpet, dirty filter, mosquitoes in bathroom, wet spot on carpet with odor.“Excellent reception staff and beautiful clean lobby. Suggest a monthly rounds by management to randomly scan rooms for readiness for patrons. A vanity box on display and empty is bad. Mosquitoes in bathroom bad. Torn carpet with wet spot and moldy odor. All fixable problems. Tighten the loose ends to stay a 4 star hotel.”

Fantastic location!Lengthy elevator waits.“Good solid mid town mega hotel. Newly renovated rooms with small bathrooms. Low on style points but you can't beat the location. Service is adequate. Good for a short visit or when traveling with children.”

Amazing location. Very close subway. The walls were rather thin. I could hear everything from the next room.“This hotel was very convenient to the subway and most of the NY attractions. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff was also very friendly and informative. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends.”

It put a roof over our heads. The room was tiny and the view was non-existent. No parking nearby.“Tiny room with malfunctioning portable music device player. I've stayed in 2.5 star hotels and guess what the accommodations were much better.”
