The most relaxing place...most expensive food

If you lounge by the pool..someone shows up to lay down the towel, another person brings ice water, another comes around to clean your sunglass, give you chilled aloe vera, complimentary popsicles-you get the idea. The food is good..but the cheapest

Extreme Relaxation

This resort exemplifies the true meaning of "hang loose". My wife and I have been to this resort 5 times in the last 3 years and every time I come back I find something else that Makes spending all that $$$$$$ worth it!! We were married here last March (2006) and this wedding couldn't have been planned better. We hired and quickly fired a wedding planner here in Scottsdale when we started talking to Jessica (now in Australia). She and the whole staff made planning a destination wedding worth the $$$$$. I'm not sure one of our guests will be welcomed back after a long night at the lava room and a subsequent fall down the stairs and almost in the pond with the baby shark. That was the funniest fall I have ever witnessed in my 39 years...I am having trouble even typing because of the tears of laughter...

It was beautiful despite the inclement weather. The Spa is amazing from the Massage for two to the cardio and weight rooms...The brunch is an absolute must!!! Just once go, and leave your cell phone in the room:)

This hotel is almost perfect. I had a problem in the golf course restaurant due to a large group, but it was handled fairly quickly. They need air conditioning in the restaurants.

It’s an amazing place. I had no reason to leave. It’s the best reason to travel to the Big Island. The restaurants are a bit overrated.

It’s expensive and rather pedestrian. The hotel and staff seemed less on the ball than our stay in 2005. We will go somewhere else next year especially given that our stay cost over twelve thousand dollars.

Ultimate luxury

I've come here three times in five years with my family, the first time with two toddlers, the last time with three kids. The place is expensive, but they go all out with the service to make you feel at home.

While many couples come here also, families are well treated (unlike many other luxury resorts). There's a separate family pool including a shallow pool with a beach for babies/toddlers. Each day, the resort holds fun activities (shell bracelet making, ukulele lessons, etc.) as well as special kid camps. There's also a large, man made lagoon perfect for snorkeling, with an Eagle Ray feeding every day. They have a beautiful Jack Nicklaus golf course and my wife says the spa is great.

For families, there are villas for rent by owners as well with resort privileges.
