The Inn was well kept and was beautiful. The room we stayed in was clean. There was no television and no porter service and the room was up a flight of steep stairs. The woman who greeted us at check-in was thorough but not friendly. We ate at the restaurant for dinner. The venison was excellent but the duck was awful - dry and no taste. The wild mushrooms were full of grit and inedible. The wine list was so-so. Breakfast, however, was very nice and the service was very friendly. The accommodations were expensive and not worth the money.

Loved the Four Columns Inn!

My husband and I honeymooned at the Four Columns Inn. We were very pleased with the cozy accommodations. We stayed in suite 4 and loved everything about it--the 2-sided fireplace right in front of the bed, the exposed wood beams, the large spa tub and the roomy marble shower.

Dining at the inn's restaurant was an excellent experience. The food was top notch in quality--from the French toast soufflé for breakfast to the grilled swordfish for dinner. The friendly staff added to our wonderful experience. We highly recommend the Four Columns Inn to those who want the best in service, food and accommodations!

everything about this inn is exceptional. Location -- close to shops, hiking, sking, and New England ambiance. While Four Columns inn food is superb it is in walking distance to another great resturant and inn. The inn keepers know how to treat their guests

.....For the third time in less than a year. And bringing the kids, they love it?
We love it even better without the kids. Beautiful, clean, friendly, out of the way and yet near a number of attractions. Oh, what can I say about the food, but MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
