It is quite difficult, however, to turn into the hotel on a very busy street at times. The rooms only have a shower and a very small, old-style one at that. It was great being able to actually open windows and have a porch, but I was NOT thrilled to be awakened to the elderly couple next door having their breakfast outside at 6:30am! My biggest complaint is that I was quoted one rate on the phone and then charged a different rate when I checked out. It's in a great location, near Biltmore House. The owners are so nice and helpful. The rooms are older and remind me of traveling as a young child with my grandparents when we would always stay at a motor lodge. This one fits the name exactly. The only possible problem was the distance into Asheville. Helped alot with directions. We were a little disappointed with the accomodations for the price of the room. Rooms are older but very clean. No pictures or decorations. We were in a hurry to get to the Biltmore Estate. We didn't have reservations for a place to stay. The owner was very helpful with a quick reservation and ideas of places to "grab" a quick bite. We loved the NO SMOKING policy as we are sensitive to smoke. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was extra clean. This is a quaint place to stay.
