However, when we arrived in Oct., 2008, we decovered that the hotel was being remodeled and 2/3 of the rooms were in some stage of being redocorated. I understand that good hotels need to do this from time to time, but the offer of a discounted room rate would have been nice since we were not informed in advance of the construction and had to track through debris, not to mention having to step around the workmen. I was told by the desk staff that the work would continue until mid-January, 2009, so you may want to call before make reservations.
