We always try to get a nice room, and we really enjoyed our room at The Fairfield Inn by Marriottin Gatlinburg North. My children loved the warm indoor pool and the large hot tube. My husband and I loved the suite and the fact that our children had their own large T.V. and a large room of their own. The room was nice, smelled great, so clean, the hotel was very well-kept. One downfall was the mini-golf noise!! The location was a bit out from the rest of town, but that was ok. We were able to check in at 3am in the morning and loved our stay so much that we didn't get a Cabin the following year for our anniversary, we just stayed at the hotel again. We saved a lot of money because the Hotel is priced so great and the location from Gatlinburg is much nicer than driving all those back roads for a cabin. Plus the hotel is located in the Same parking lot with Damon's Grill....You can't beat a GREAT Steak House right next door. X was wonderful. Happy, competent, and informative. She helped us with directions and even though she was very busy with checking people in to the hotel, she was very effecient. We forgot toothpaste....obviously not the first time that has every happen, and she was happy to help...... The next morning, as we checked out, the fire alarms was blasting, dripping wet whinning children ran amoke, and people were waiting to check out. The desk attendant handled all with patience and a smile.....very refreshing..... The rooms were clean and the pool was great. The kids really enjoyed the pool and slide are. The other great thing was the Trolley system came right up to the hotel for a 50 cent trip to downtown.
