We came with friends who had reserved the rooms. The lobby was filthy, the staff unfriendly, the rooms smelled and needed to be deep cleaned. The woman who was the general manager needs some lesson in how to be a professional. Wearing jeans and a t-shirt to work is not professional and neither is flirting with different male guests while on the job. The breakfast was decent as far as free ones go. The pool area was ok, would have been nice to have towels by it or a sign up somewhere to let us know where to get them. Half the time front desk was not at the front desk and nowhere in sight. The lobby computer was so dirty, it looked like it had not been cleaned in months. Just did not seem like a good hotel for the price and it was not even near the city of charleston, it was more than 30 minutes from downtown. next time we come to town, we will stay somewhere else. I hope i never have to stay here again. The GM was a very rude woman who was dressed in jeans half of the time she was at hotel. The breakfast was of poor quality and the black girl working it was rude. Whoever staffed the front desk had no idea what they were doing. I would see 3 or more employees at the desk in the morning and then only one girl at night trying to handle the phones, checkins and guest complaints by herself, crazy. Our room had sheets that were wrinkled and the floor looked like it had not been vaccumed in a month or more. This is a very clean hotel with a good continental breakfast and a very nice workout room and a clean pool and spa.
