I was very satisfied with the quality of the hotel. The interior corridor of the hotel was breathtaking. I was able to take nice photos by the waterfalls. The location is excellent because there are other restaurants located within a mile or two from the hotel. The only thing that I did not like was the pancakes and heated eggs. I had to throw that away because it wasn't hot enough, so I went for a made to order omelet. That was excellent. The juices were terrible (o.j. tasted like powdered Tang). Other than that, I was satisfied.

Breakfast and atrium.Construction still going on.“Air-conditioning cover in bath was falling off. Door to bath was delaminating and literally falling to bits. Very quiet in the side corridor away from the atrium.”

Staff was mostly friendly, except one

Staff was mostly friendly, except one person who I spoke with on the phone. Key cards did not work at first, took over 1/2 hour to fix the problem. There was a thermostat in our room, set to 60, but it was always at least 75 degrees F in our room. Very uncomfortable with the humidity. We called the front desk on four separate occasions to remedy the situation, and they always said that they would send someone up to fix it. No one ever arrived. The breakfast offered a lot of variety, but all that was supposed to be hot was cold (eggs, bacon, pancakes...yuck!). One night, there was a wedding ceremony and reception in the courtyard (beautiful ceremony), but it was very loud. All the rooms face the courtyard, so all the non-wedding guests were disturbed (and it continued well into the night). The internet costed $10 per 24-hours per computer. I found this to be archaic seeming the hotels that are a lot less fancy seem to all offer complimentary wireless and wired internet service (which was the case at the other two hotels I stayed at during my trip...and they costed considerably less per night). Elevators were slow and one was broken. Stairs were not easily accessible.

The atrium is beautiful.Construction noise unbearable; pool area towels on floor and glasses all over; jumping in pool which was not monitored.“Construction noise unbearable, we were on third floor and construction over us on 4th; called desk several times to move me - could not. Swimming pool needs monitoring and cleaning: towels all over the chairs and floor and glasses from the free drinks all over the pool area; should not allow drinks in the pool; kids jumping in and out of pool; about 25 young boys jumping in and out and horse playing in pool; finally at 9 p.m. they left.”

Newspaper delivered to the room in the morning. The renovations ongoing in this hotel make staying there unpleasant.“The hotel has been undergoing renovations for a very long time. I stayed there months ago and expected the renovations to be complete. They were not and one had to share the elevators with workers who had equipment with them. In addition, the elevators had plywood walls. Another guest commented to me that such was very unsafe. In addition, the restaurant had few selections and was much too expensive for a hotel of this nature.”
