Disappointing

The good news... the beds are comfortable, the swimming pool is nice, it's within walking distance of Disneyland. The exterior has been repainted recently although the paint on the decks are already wearing off and peeling. The desk clerks are pleasant enough. They have a computer in the office to access your e-mail for free.

The bad news... the showers can go from hot to cold almost instantly and you can't control it at times. We had to go to the office to pick up towels, soap, and toilet paper because for some reason the maids didn't provide them although we were told they should. No coffee makers are provided in the room and coffee is only available in the office in the early morning. The wallpaper is very old, discolored, the air conditioners are barely adequate. We stayed there in the past because it was cheap but now the prices are higher and therefore if you are going to pay more expect more which is what we will do next time and go elsewhere

Well???

The beds are comfortable. The swimming pool is nice. We realize that when we go to Disneyland we're not looking for the nicest hotel since we'll be at the park most of the time and just at the hotel to sleep. The exterior was repainted but the newly painted decks are already peeling. There are no coffee makers in the room anymore and the office only serves coffee with the complimentary morning continental breakfast. Although we complained several times for whatever reason we had to pick up towels, soap, and toilet paper in the office because the maids did not always provide them. The maids speak no English so???? The rooms are dated. Old wallpaper, old cabinets, and the water temperature in the shower fluctuates from hot to cold. In the past we stayed there when it was Parkside because it was cheap but there were always plenty of soap, towels, tp, and a coffee maker. If the price is no better than other places we will not return in the future.

Nothing Sweet about this Suite!

Since Parkside became Eden Roc last year they painted the exterior and put in some newer furniture. When we stay there we understand that we'll be at Disneyland all day and only there to sleep at night. It's within walking distance of the park. The swimming pool is nice. But other than that instead of improving service it got worse. No coffeemakers in the rooms. The air conditioners are inadequate. In one room we considered the air conditioner made a horrible racket. The water in the shower goes from hot to cold almost instantly. We had to go to the office to get our towels, soap, and toilet paper. If you ask the maids for anything they either don't understand you or they will tell you to go to the office. The wall paper is pretty dingy At the same time their prices are higher... therefore I doubt we'll return.

In the rate your stay catergory... I don't want to be brutal or cruel but to rate it at "mediocre" is too kind. I cannot think of a worse place and to think it's so close to Disneyland.

Under new management - Eden Roc Motel

This hotel is under new management - Eden Roc Motel and they are not honoring any reservations that were previously made with Parkside. We've stayed here a lot under Parkside and always had a possitive experience. I called to verify a reservation I had made online for June 08 to find all the phone numbers disconected. After doing some research I called the new owners and found out that the people that have reservations under Parkside are not being notified that their reservations have been cancelled. You can even still make new reservations on the Parkside website only to get down there to find out that you have no hotel reservations!!!

ewww

It was a place to sleep, and that's about it. There were stains all over the walls, there were places where the wallpaper had been painted over, and then picked off so that there were big ripped places all over. There was no clock of any kind in the room, a tv with no remote, and the bathroom was disgusting. There were kids running around screaming and running up and down the stairs constantly. We would never go there again, even if it was free.

WE WILL NEVER RETURN

Location and space of the room was great. However, the rooms were terrible - disgusting to be exact. Tiles loose or missing on the floors and bathrooms. Ceiling has the signs of major roof damage - several stains on the ceiling - did not look good at all. Caulking around shower was mildewed and cracking off. The rugs seemed to need shampooing. Room had a terrible odor. Their website was very deceiving - no room service at all. Had to ask for a lamp because the room didn't have one. The toilet made noise every 5 minutes. Their TVs do not have remote controls - they do not provide one - they said they were all stolen. Tried to contact the front desk late at night but they never answered - they advertised 24 front desk service. This is a very run down motel. However, if you pay cash, you will get a small discount. I suggest you spend a little more money and stay elsewhere.

WORST EVER

The staff were characters from the movie "the hills have eyes". Very scary. The rooms were disgusting, smelled like sewer. Toilets barely flushed. No remote controls in the room. Couldn't get a wake up call as the front desk closed during the night although, they stated they were open 24 hours. No Room service from onsite restaurant which was half a block away and when we went into the restaurant "Tilly's, coulnd't get service from the unpleasant waitress. Food was horrible. Hotel was a nightmare. Flooding in front of the door leaked through the room. No lamps were provided, everything was old, bed creaked, pillows smelled like mildew. Shower room was the most disgusting, mold and dirt everywhere. I had to wear my flipflops in the shower room as the floor was filthy. Shower room door was missing so they mickeymoused "no pun intended", a shower curtain rod in it's place. I had to close my eyes so I couldn't see anything while I took a shower or I would of freaked out. The shower room was small and I barely fit through the opening. Run! never stay at this place, no matter how cheap it is, I will never stay here again even if they offered me free rooms. NEVER! Hotel was Old, rundowned, smelled, bottom of the barrel hotel!

price matches quialty

We stayed here five nights and were quite comfortable. The beds were not broken down and the sheets were very clean. With a low price comes lower quality furnishings, don't expect to find new carpet and furniture. The fridge, TV, and microwave all worked just fine. If price is a concern, this hotel would work just fine.

Horrible place

Totally run down... the AC unit was literally falling out of the wall, the linoleum tile in the bathroom was coming up, dirty dish in the microwave....and customer service is non-existent. I checked out first thing the next morning and checked into another place.
