We stayed here because of the 24-hour

We stayed here because of the 24-hour shuttle to Duke Hospital. My husband is quite ill and I did not want to drive at all to go over to see him. Plus I would spend the nights in his hospital room to be with him. Well, these people were just the best about taking me back and forth whenever I needed it. I couldn't sleep one night and they came over at 5am so I could go back and sleep in the condo. (The beds are very nice--the foam mattress type.) Then after my husband was discharged we stayed for about a week until we could go home. They took us back and forth then. We were there almost a month. The medical rate was reasonable. I cooked in the kitchen because we were trying to save money. They also took me to the grocery store. They were so nice and now we are back home and I wanted to say thank you. Oh, we used the shuttle to the airport too.

I stayed at Duke Tower for about three

I stayed at Duke Tower for about three months during the summer/fall of 2008 when I was relocating to the Triangle from upstate New York. My company (a biotech firm HQed in RTP) said I could stay anywhere I wanted. So the cost was not an issue but I don't think it was very expensive anyway. It was not like the other places--it's unique, in its own way, sort of like Durham. I looked at apartments in Cary and Morrisville, but they were just so bland. It's a cool place, near Trinity Park and I would go walking and biking around that area. (They have bicycle rentals.) The staff knows about Durham and gave me some great advice as I went around and looked for a place to buy. I gradually learned about the neighborhoods and liked the diversity. I ended up buying a house in Woodcroft (south Durham--Trinity Park is great but overpriced in my opinion). I don't think I would have known about it if I had stayed in one of the standard corporate stay-type places. It's kind of hard to describe but I just wanted to let people know that this place is really nice.

We live in Trinity Park right next to

pros: Full condo, free internet, beautiful gardensWe live in Trinity Park right next to Duke Tower and always put our parents and other friends there when they come to town. The nicest thing is that they get a full condo, plus a beautiful courtyard. It's just so nice. The courtyard is just enchanting. The pool in the summer is great. (I wish it were heated in the winter...) My parents just walk over to our house for Thanksgiving dinner and back and it's always safe. The rates are very reasonable, around $80 I think. The rooms are clean and have internet access. The beds are all those foam Tempurpedic type and my parents said they want to buy one since they slept so well on them. The people are super-friendly and clearly love working there. What more can you say? This is a great place. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place

We were at Duke Medical Center in September and found this place on the web. They say they have a 24-hour shuttle to Duke Med Center, which was great because my wife was undergoing treatment there. (She's doing well now.) This shuttle was a god-send

Charming place, unknown gem

I stayed at Duke Tower during a recent visit to Duke Medical Center. I found it on the web. It was such a nice place and the staff was great. It's not really a hotel, more like condos. They had beautiful gardens in the courtyard. It’s only about 10 minutes to Duke Medical Center. It was very nice.

A charming secret

I was down in Durham visiting family over the holidays and stayed at Duke Tower. It boasts of being Durham's Charming Secret and it was!

I loved having a separate bedroom from the kitchen and living room area. The courtyard is quite nice. The staff was very friendly and very helpful to me since I was from out of town.
