Horrible experience!

It started when we arrived. Since the rate changed between Thursday night and Friday night we had to book 2 reservations. So thursday night at 10:30 pm. I was charged 200.00 for a room that has popcorn ceilings, old tvs and Kmart art. The pillows and bedding were nice. the next morning I had to check out and then check back in again! I asked them to NOT clean my room and when we arrived at 11pm the room was clean and my pajamas were gone. yes I said gone! After a long day we looked high and low for 15 minutes before I called the front desk. They said "housekeeping is closed and there is no one available to go there" Now I am tired and upset! I told them they need to find someone and send up a robe. Low and behold 30 minutes later they arrive with a robe and my pajamas wadded in a bag. I wonder where they found them???? Why were they taken from my room? The final day we brought in 8 pieces of luggage that needed to go in our room. I parked by the door, went inside with a $20 to get a bellman. Guesss what? "Sorry we don't have bellmen on the weekends" What?? This is not Motel 6, its a Doubletree! I ask you... If a customer needed help on a slow night dont you think you would try and help? The only highlight was the restaurant/bar. The food was good and the service was good. other than that it was a terrible stay!

Initially, we reserved in downtown Mpls, but the 1-800 lady messed up our reservation, so they recommended this location. I was more concerned about getting charged twice, which we did not. When we arrived at midnight, the front desk lady was very pleasant. We reserved a whirlpool room and loved it! The pool was clean, the bed was very comfortable. I gave it 4 stars because right next door was a couple that was going at it and we can hear NOT everything, but let's just say we heard the other couple. We paid $139 for the whirlpool room.

My wife and I used to live in Minneapolis, but have been living in WI for the past 4 years. We get back to Minneapolis at least once a year to see friends and we stay at this hotel every time. We love the location of the hotel as it is close to friends, shopping, great restaurants, and downtown Minneapolis is only 7 minutes away. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are immaculate. The staff is always friendly and available. We've never had an issue while staying at this hotel, and we can't wait to our next visit.Oh yeah...the warm cookies upon check-in are awesome too!

I have had a pleasant experience each time I have stayed at a Doubletree establishment. They seem welcoming and interested in both meeting needs and satisfying desires. They are one of the first names that come to mind whenever I think of the industry and I do not even have any close to my residence to remind me every so often. I recommend them.

I liked the nice hotel and convention services. The hotel bar and restaurant had very slow service.

We were very impressed with our room. It was large and spacious and it had very nice furnishings. The bed was comfortable. The paper goods and the soap were all high quality, not cheap hotel items. We would definitely stay there again.

We were told we would have coupons for the breakfast buffet, but every room had issues with no coupons, some coupons, or insufficient coupons. Every room was wrong in this respect and the staff was rude.

The hotel itself was beautiful, the staff weren't as friendly as I expected from reading other reviews. I called them to ask about the pet deposit- they took my name and number and never called me back so I was surprised at the $15 non refundable fee. The pool is rather small as well as the business center. The beds were very comfortable and the warm coookie they give you at check in was delicious!! I called and asked for two towels- they brought four in about two minutes!! The food was very expensive as well as the delivery charge and the 18% tax on all purchaces. They don't advertise the hidden prices such as being charged a little for the morning papers *they say if you wish not to recieve them you can get some change back on your bill* and no where in the room did it say they charged $9.99 for internet access in the rooms. Overall I would stay here again, mostly for the fact that it's one of the few very nice hotels I've been to that allows pets!!!!
