This is a converted Quality or Sleep Hotel that has been re-branded as a Doubletree. The rooms are nice but the sound proofing is terrible. You can hear every noise in the hallways - even normal, quiet conversations. We had a connecting room and could hear everything that the people next door said, heard the hair dryers blasting, etc. So much for a chance to sleep past 6:00 a.m. on a Saturday! Look for a lower priced hotel close by and you will get what you pay for vs paying for a Double tree and getting taken. I stay at Doubletree Hotels because I usually can count on a convenient location, nicely appointed room, fantastic service and great food. The staff was very nice, but the only other similarities with other Doubletree Hotels were the price, warm cookies and linens on our bed. The rooms were okay, certainly nothing spectacular. The hotel "restaurant" was a TGI Fridays, which was great for grabbing a quick drink with our friends before we went out, but hardly what I would expect for the Doubletree! Our "Dream Package" was $200 and that included a breakfast buffet at TGI Fridays-which was cold, underserviced and just not very good. Quite frankly, I would have rather gone to McDonalds down the street given the quality of the food. Last weekend I had the same package at a different Doubletree (for less money!) and we had a spectacular breakfast buffet spread with white linens on our table, live omelet station, top notch food and just a wonderful experience. The bottom line is that I just don't think this hotel should carry the name Doubletree. I think guests expect a little more when they see the name Doubletree and this hotel just does not hold up to that standard.
