A good motel

We were there in august 2008. The Location was great close to downtown, the rooms were clean everything worked. The staff was good. Price was great. This isn’t a luxury hotel, but for the price you can’t go wrong.

The place has changed, for the better

The last time I stayed here it was the Travelodge, but they've changed the name to the Desert Rose Inn and have new owners I'm told. The rooms are standard, but clean and I got a much better feeling dealing with the staff this time. The pool was being cleaned and I couldn't find a soda machine, the manager said they're changing companies. The place was packed for the Memorial Day weekend, but it was a decent crowd and for the price and drive-in convenience close to downtown I'd recemmend the motel.

We'd give it a second try.

Stayed here Memorial Day Weekend. Lot of people. We always liked the drive-in motels over the bigger hotels and the price was okay considering it was hard to find a room. Its close to downtown and easy to find on the main street. The pool was being cleaned, but it was too cold to use anyway. The rooms were clean and adequate, what you'd expect. What was nice too was not having to pay extras. I used the internet wi-fi and we had full cable channels with HBO. It was a good experience.

Nice & Clean for the Price!

The room was nice and clean, the maid service was nice also. It's so convenient if your wanting to be downtown.
The rooms were more updated then the last time we
were their, they have come a long ways.
Also they now have a laundry facility so we can do our laundry, that was so convenient while we were staying their.
I'm planning on going back when I visit Reno again!

Dirty rooms and a dirty pool

Unless you LOVE bad service, and filth. We checked in with two small kids and then went to the pool (dirty). Soon after we went back into the dirty room because of the other "guests" who were drinking and looked like they hadn't had showers or shaved in a month. The next day we checked out early because of the loud noise all night.

NEVER GOING BACK!!!!

We didnt like the fact that people actually LIVE in some of the hotel rooms...not the nicest looking people either. We got woken up SUPER early by one of the tenants kids, who were screamiing down the halls. One of the other tenants played loud music all day long while their children played in the parking lot. We had to ASK the maid to clean our room (which never got done) and its a good thing I speak spanish, or I wouldnt have been able to do even THAT! Dont bother bringing your swimsuit...pool has NO WATER!!! The shower was no bigger then a cardboard box, and the bed was hard as a rock. Something happened to our tv in the middle of our stay, and had to be replaced with a smaller funkier one. The room DOES have an alarm clock that works, and the mini fridge seemed to keep our drinks cold. Other then that...definitly not worth the 79 dollars a night we paid!!!

They had an excellent location, adequate room and bed and friendly office assistance. I especially liked the free wi-fi connection for my laptop. It was the first time I had used that feature.

The room only had a shower so it was very difficult to bathe my child. No other room was available. The room had a stale odor and the air conditioning unit was noisy.

You're not paying for much!

The sheets were dirty so we slept in the other bed in the room, the a/c worked but the cover was broken and falling off, the breakfast was bare bones, but that's the way it was advertised. Room was adequate size but very outdated. No shower cap. I think the RodeWay next door is a little better for the same price.
