DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

A female in town for business..The carpets were so disgusting I refused to take off my shoes and walk on them barefooted. The room was dirty and smelled terrible, I slept fully clothed because I was terrified of when the bedding had been changed. There were roaches outside of my room on the sidewalk! The hotel is in a terrible part of town. I ACTUALLY FOUND A SYRINGE ABOVE THE DOOR JAM IN THE BATHROM AS I WAS GETTING OUT OF THE SHOWER! The manager refused to give me a refund. The only comment he had was that he didn't know why the maid didn't find it when she cleaned....DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Never again!

My experience @ the hotel was horrible, on my way to the room there were roaches in the walkway..when i arrived in the room, it was old and smelly, i was so uncomfortable i had to go to the local walmart and buy cleaning products before i could actually sleep, i begin sneezing and coughing immediately..i had pets, they were scratching from whatever was in the carpet, they couldn't walk on the floor, it was mildewed and wet, soaked my socks..the air did't work well, and the room was broken into before, the was a wedge that was visible, in between the door panel and the door..,went to the desk to report it, the clerk stated the staff had to break into it, to get the door unlocked.. Red Flag! i guess i should have taken it more seriously, when i went to take my dog for a walk, evidentally the staff lives on site and were watching, and tried the break in again when i stepped away, but i returned too quick, the housekeeper ran to the next room when i was walking up, my door still propped up from the break in of course! I called management, they said they would speak with the housekeeper, which resulted in the housekeeper, knocking on the door continuously, when the door was answered she caught an attitude, asking what time we were leaving, this is not a hotel, but a low grade motel, across the street from a crack house, the sad part about it, the people selling crack, aren't the only criminals in the vicinity, the hotel staff have them beat! Continental Breakfast, A joke! the only thing u could actually eat were the waffles, and there was a line to get those....

Don't stay here ~ it's in a horrible part of town. There is a fence the whole way around the hotel with one entrance in and out!! We refused to stay there, after we made reservations!! I was litrally scared as we circled the hotel, checking it out. We never got out of the car....too scared!! Please remember....you get what you pay for. Spend the extra and make yourself feel safer!!

Me and 5 of my family members had to travel to Birmingham to bury our brother. The hotel locate was great but one of our rooms had ROACHES (yes I said roaches). The management did nothing about it except to say they would have housekeeping spray the room and gave me a can of raid. Good thing we had family there and was not planning to spend very much time in our rooms.

As two women traveling alone, across

As two women traveling alone, across country, by car,we did our research before making our reservations at this Days Inn in Birmingham. Aol and Days Inn falsely advertised this hotel. We knew we were in trouble when we got off of the exit and the only restaurant within several miles was a Church's Fried Chicken were astounded by the "clientele" that was sitting on the outside stairs, "hanging around" like a getto gathering watching everyone coming and going. We pulled up to the front to go into the lobby to ask them if we could transfer our reservation to another Days Inn on down the road, but as more clientele came out of the front doors, we chose to keep going until we could find an acceptable hotel. We felt that our security and safety was compromised if we stayed at this Days Inn.
We "ate" the $74 bucks so that we could actually close our eyes and sleep that night.

Do not bother booking here. If you

Do not bother booking here. If you want to be treated like the customer go somewhere else. Stayed here during the NCAA tournament and it made the trip terrible. We were given a smoking room after booking a non-smoking room. There was an all night party across the road on Friday night that you could here clearly from your room. The room was tinted yellow from the smoke. On Saturday a bag containing necessity items was taken from our room. OVERALL THIS IS NOT A HOTEL THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND TO LEAVE YOUR ANIMALS AT MUCH LESS YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We booked a two-night stay but only

We booked a two-night stay but only stayed one night because we didn't feel safe. When we first arrived, we noticed that one end of the parking lot was gated. It wasn't until we got back to the room from seeing a movie at 12:30 a.m. that we realized what the gate was for. There was a house party right across the street with no less than 20 cars in the yard. We heard people coming and going at all hours of the night. The room was okay at first glance, but the sheets and towels were dirty and the bathroom was tiny. Glad we brought our own bedding. Would not recommend.

The place is OK but staff & manager

The place is OK but staff & manager no-where to be found when needed. Had my motorcycle stolen and no-one seemed to care even though it was parked in front of main door and in front of security camera. Very suspect area. Be aware, otherwise it's a room and free breakfast.

I booked this hotel online before I read any reviews, needless to say after reading some of them, I was very worried about picking this hotel. But everything was great, we only stayed one night because we were in town for a concert.... it wasn't the Marriott, but I wasn't expecting that anyway!!! Good choice for somewhere to crash after a night downtown!!

Hotel is in questionable area, safety

Hotel is in questionable area, safety was a concern. Rooms were small, bathroom was tiny. Room was fairly clean, but furniture and carpet looked old and worn. Staff was nice enought, breakfast was a joke. I would spend $25 more for a nicer room next time.
