Good price, awesome breakfast buffet

I loved the complimentary hot breakfast.

I "hated" the fact that the room always seemed "musty" each time the door was opened.

Me , Wifey, Two children, stayed one night it was close to city square but not as high priced as those uptown. The only unpleasant thing about it was the traffic, trying to turn left out of the parking lot was a pain. onther than that : Three Thumbs up. ;)

We could not have asked for more. Great Location. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and quiet. We heard very little noise from other guests or street traffic. The beds were VERY comfortable. The A/C worked very well. Breakfast was great. This hotel was a nice suprise for our weekend get-away. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is basic, but decent. It is very close to downtown Asheville and there are many nice restuarants in close proximity to the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would return to this hotel if we travel to Asheville again.

Forget the discount travel coupons

This is the 3rd time staying at the Days Inn with no complaints, until now. I found a travel coupon for $40 dollars a night, 1-4 people, to use anytime until May 7, 2007. However, the coupon was refused. A young man behind the counter told me it only was used for "walk-ins", not people who made reservations. I showed him the coupon and asked him to show me where the coupon said anything about walk-ins. He replied, "Well, I guess this one doesn't". I then asked to see a manager; the front desk clerk walked into another room for a moment and returned with no manager. He gave me a pamphlet with a number on it to call. I told him right then and there that the advertised price was deceptive, and I hope it was all on camera and audio. Also, I asked him to show me any postings in the lobby or in writing where restrictions are posted. There weren't any.

I also took pictures of the lobby to show there weren't any. Then, I cancelled the 2nd night stay at the motel. So, you are all warned; they will not honor the discount coupons that are found in travel magazines, which you often find along the interstate rest areas. The stay for one night was over $100.
