There website says they have 108 rooms. There were only 10 cars in the lot so I can only assume they were not full. I was put on the 2nd floor in the very back of the hotel. The door faced the pool area. Yes it was dark back there, but I knew I woul

Room was very clean and comfortable.Outside was run down and construction was underway.“I very much enjoyed staying here. As I pulled up to the entrance, I wasn't sure how it would be. The outside was in poor condition, but I noticed construction was underway. That made me thinks that the noise would be unbearable, but was understanding due to the run down condition of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was cozy, comfortable, and clean, which is what I value most in a hotel. I did not hear any of the renovations outside. It was a pleasant experience, and I would return.”

Typical Days Inn. Nothing special. Normal breakfast foods. Fridge, microwave & in-room coffee. WiFi no problem. Desk, loveseat coffee table. Two washers & 2 dryers, only 1 of each worked. Near ABC & many good chain restaurants. Fairly close to Huntington Metro. A good deal for AARP, $68.

We like the restaurant in the hotel. It was pretty old and needed updates. No access to the metro.“Sheets didn't fit on the beds and kept on falling off. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

The price was good.Location and appearance.“We paid for 2 queen sized beds, and the hotel room that we got only had 2 full beds. It is certainly not walking distance to the metro; you must have a car to drive to it. There was a shuttle service but there was no information about it. Hotel said there was wireless internet; our room did not get it. The TV had about 5 channels all which came in fuzzy, and the continental breakfast consisted of a cup of coffee before 9 am.”

Graffitti in elevator, vomit in the halway, broken ice machine, rude staff. Reminded me of a public housing project I visted in Chicago. To think I actually paid for this experience.

The Days Inn Alexandria South hotel is overpriced, the building itself is in bad shape, the rooms and the furnishings I am sure have not been changed or updated since the hotel was built. The bathroom is so small it is almost impossible to dry yourself without opening the door. The location is good and the staff is fine. However at the price plus per night there are far better lodgings in the area.
