A Slice of Heaven

The Davenport is a slice of heaven in North East Washington. You are made to feel like royalty no matter how short your stay, no matter what your room type. I have said many times that I would love to live at the Davenport. My husband and I have stayed there many times since it's reopening in 2002 (every wedding anniversary in fact) and I am never dissapointed. The Palm Court Grill and the Peacock Room both offer wonderful atmosphere, food, and drink. I can hardly wait to stay again!

I traveled with the advice of my travel agent. He recommended it and he was right on the money again. The Davenport is THE #1 hotel in Spokane not only bacause of its history in that city but also because of its location and the new tower compliments Spkane's past with the present. It's also not too overly priced.

The Davenport is stunning and provides

The Davenport is stunning and provides the excellent service one would expect from such a grand hotel. We stayed there shortly after they opened after the remodel in 2004. They upgraded us to a Jr Suite for a very minimal cost. The beds are so comfortable, that we ordered one!

Located in the renovated Davenport Hotel, this is the place to go for chewy, tasty peanut brittle. They are very friendly and have a nice selection of treats at very reasonable prices

The Davenport and Tower is an awesome

The Davenport and Tower is an awesome hotel and is one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. We stayed for 2 nights in the Tower. Our room was decorated beautifully in an African safari motif. The shower was a tiled European styled walk in. The bathroom sink was seprate from the commode and shower and had a really nice marble counter top and fixtures and a really nice vanity mirror. The Safari Lounge in the Tower was nice and upscale. The lobby has a large seating area and fireplace, all with marble floors. We used the town car service twice while we stayed.
The Davenport itself was also very nice as others in our party stayed there. I'm not normally a fan of that type of decor (having stayed at the Sir Francis Drake in SF years ago) but I really fell in love with the Davenport. They definately changed my mind. We had wonderful cocktails and appetizers in the Peacock Lounge, which has live music on weekends.
The history of the Davenport is also interesting if you're into history and such. Just sitting in the lobby you feel transported back to another era.
Both the Davenport and Tower are located within walking distance from banking, shopping, dining and nightlife. Plus the town car service can deliver you almost anywhere you need to go.
The Davenport is not for the budget minded but if you're looking for a an upscale hotel or romantic getaway it's for you. I want to go back around Christmas/New Years just to see how they decorate the hotel.

The Davenport is a hotel that you have

The Davenport is a hotel that you have to see to believe. You can get a taste of gandeur from 100 years ago. The restoration is fabulous and the rooms are wonderful but, the Sunday Brunch is completely decadent. Sometimes sunday brunches can be a family free for all but, all the families at this brunch were very well behaved.

The Davenport was finally rebuilt into

The Davenport was finally rebuilt into a classic. This hotel was once Spokane's grand lady, but fell into disrepair, and then was vacant for decades. About four years ago, it was reopened as a luxury hotel. I had to come stay here, because of the history it has had with Spokane, just to see. There is only one word to describe what it was like: Wow!!! This has to be one of the finest hotels on the west coast. Exquisite detail turns it into Spokane's grand lady once again. You will be treated well by the wait staff, will have access to all the best amenities, and will have a comfortable night's sleep. This is the place to go if you are willing to shell out the money in Spokane.

The only place to stay

From the chauffeured car service from the airport to the bellmen, the front desk clerk at check-in , the wait staff , the rooms (size and cleanliness) , back to the front desk at check out and the car service back to the airport (thank you Alan ! ) , the Davenport Hotel can not be beat. Everyone was in top form, polite and prompt. Immaculate service!

I looked at both rooms in the newer Tower and in the Classic grand hotel , both were absolutely fabulous. I chose to stay in the main building as I lean toward the more classical hotel with the history. Whichever your preference is the Davenport Hotel can provide.

This really is the only address to have in Spokane !

Hotels like this don't exist anymore!

The Davenport is one of those hotels that you read about or see in movies, the kinds they had back in the 1940s. The attention to detail is astounding, the amenities are endless, this is a place to come and lose yourself.

Don't come to this hotel if price is your only concern, if it is, then stay at a "cheap" hotel until your last day, then book a night at the Davenport to treat yourself.
Compare what you get here to the same hotel (if it existed) in pricier locations, the value for the opulence is nothing short of amazing. Google: "Davenport Hotel, Spokane, WA" and look at all the videos.
I think the people writing bad reviews are competitor hotels. While nothing is perfect, the staff at the Davenport will bend over backwards to make anything out of place right.
Trust me this is a "Jewel in the rough". Anytime I'm Spokane I stay at the Davenport.
