The hotel lobby was very attractive. No room available on arrival didnt reimburse for no room.“When I arrived I was sent to a room that was already occupied. I was not assured that a room would be available. I was told that the discount for the inconvenience was free parking in the parking deck that was under construction. After talking to other guest they were not aware of a fee to park at the hotel. I am still waiting for a refund due to booking two rooms and they did not have a room available on arrival.”

Good location. It was adequate.“We spent very little time in the hotel and only I night, so I can't really give a fair basement.”

Free internet for 1 night, nicely appointed room, enjoyed small extras.Parking cost too much, internet only free for 1 night.“Enjoyed my stay here, room was furnished and appointed well and bed was very comfortable. Internet was free for one night only. Parking was expensive, but street parking was available and fairly plentiful in area. I liked the small extras like the little "help you sleep well" package including CD, eye cover, ear plugs, and a spray mist.”

Hotel made reservations and restaurant treated us like VIP's since we were from the "Crowne plaza!"The bed should be on the other wall to get a proper view of the Potomac river.“Amazing time, great staff, excellent recommendations and super convenient!”

Excellent in every way. Airport shuttle very excellent to connect with subway to city.Nothing“We were very pleased in every way. I cannot agree with any of the somewhat critical comments, especially the comment about the neighborhood. Our experience was excellent in every way.”

The bed and pillows were comfortable.Housekeeping walked into our room without our permission, the hotel is noisy, shower curtain was grimy, ac didn't work, and faucet wouldn't turn off.“I would never stay at this Marriot again. Our AC didn't work and our bathtub faucet wouldn't turn off the first night. There wasn't a maintenance person on staff at night either, so we had to wait until the next morning before someone could come to fix the problems. The thing that really upset me was that the housekeeping staff would knock on our door at 7:30 am and then walk right in.”

Well located. Hospitality shuttle very convenient. It is dated. Carpeting looks stained and worn, although well vacuumed.“The hotel is well situated, although a few blocks to old town shopping/restaurants. The hospitality shuttle was a big plus, not having to take our car into DC. Although tidy and pretty clean, the hotel looks and feels older. It needs updating. Beds were comfortable, and bathroom clean. Breakfast would be a nice offer, yet Old Town Alexandria restaurants are a three minute drive - ten minute walk. A supermarket is three blocks away. For a short stay, it was great. We would likely stay there again.”

The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful, the bathrooms were spacious, and the beds were wonderful. The walls in places had holes, and the wallpaper was peeling in spots. New carpet needed.“It was better than I expected after the reviews I had read. It's getting better every day as Crowne Plaza continues to renovate after taking it over from Radisson. The lobby/entrance renovations are non invasive and not noisy. The property decor and walls and carpet are somewhat dated and in places in bad condition, but they are planning on redoing carpet, walls, furniture, etc. Which will help the property aesthetically. The beds are all new and are wonderful. The bathrooms are big and our room was nice and clean. Had a nice view of the capitol and the river. Would stay here again it will be even nicer next time, because renovations would be complete!”

Very nice view of the Potomac and National monuments. The telephone was not answered by "guest services".“This hotel was very disappointing. Although clean, there were several inconveniences. Bottled beer from the bar was warm, the ice machine did not work, the iron was dirty, complimentary breakfast required tickets, no answer at the help desk, 12 blocks from the metro station with no shuttle.”
