We just got back from a trip to the Twin Cities and an overnight stay at the Crowne Plaza. I really liked this hotel. The decor is very modern and that might turn some people off, but I thought it was cool. Everything was very sleek, very clean. I particularly liked the little baggie of sleep aids (eye mask, ear plugs, lavender linen spray and soothing cd). What a nice touch. However, I didn't need any of those things as it was very quiet. The bed was very, very comfortable and I slept like a log.One other thing that really helped was that we got a very good price on the room through an online travel webiste. So not only was it a very nice hotel, but the price was not much more than what we'd have paid for an economy hotel. We didn't use the pool or the exercise room (didn't have time) but they both looked very nice and in very good condition. Same for the business center. Our stay at Crowne Plaza was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The Crown Plaza was I nice hotel for the cheap amount that we paid. We couldn't have gotten a better price in the cities. It was very modern and the staff were very friendly. My only complaint about the room was the sheets. The bed was very comfortable but the sheets couldn't have been more than 100 count sheets. It made me personally uncoftable in sleeping. We didn't get a chance trying out the restaurant but the food smelled good. We did go to the hot tub and were not relaxed by the overpowering smell of bleach and the falling apart cracking hottub. The pool room needed some updating for lack of better words. But beyond that, we got in cheaply and were happy with what we got for the price.

The hotel was nice and the service at the front desk was excellent. Only concern we had was that the hot water in the room was slow to get hot and you had to let the water run about 5 minutes to get it hot. Other than that i would reccomend this hotel. The 42 inch LCD tv in the room was an added feature.

We only stayed one night here and had to attend a surprise party at another hotel. The Crowne Plaza had transportation to and from the airport and also to the Mall of America...and it was free. They even shuttled us to and from the hotel that the party was in. All of the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle drivers were great also. The room was roomy and the flat screen TV was a surprise, even though we didn't watch it much. The only drawback was the bathroom. It was a little small and the toilet was almost aganst the wall. Still, I would recommend this hotel. It had several amenities that we didn't use such as a swimming pool and a gym. WIFI is also available and there are computers for guest use. If I ever get back to Minneapolis, I would stay here.

Booked a reception at the Crowne Plaza

Booked a reception at the Crowne Plaza MSP Airport. We were very excited because it was beautiful. We were verbally promised an included hotel room and no charge if we brought our own cake and had a family member cut it. After 3 weeks of disputing, they said it was their policy to charge a $2 per person cake cutting fee. All staff were rude and difficult to work with. They lied and made up policy. We ended up cancelling recpetion. If you book here, beware!!!

A very nice hotel. Location is relatively close and convenient to major attractions around MoA. The hotel seems to have undergone a recent remodel and everything is clean with contemporary styling. Room was of average size but with nice amenities (large flat screen and CD player). Good insulation blocked out almost all noise other than some stomping from the room above (during daylight hours). Fitness room was small but had very new equipment. Bikes and ellipticals had personalized TVs and the room had free weights. It did, however, lack the variety (there was one) of other weight machines expected. There were only two minor complaints: the whirlpool/spa was not functional during my visit (however the sauna and pool were both very nice) and I specifically requested a room away from the ice machine and elevator and was give the room (you guessed it) right across from the elevator and ice machine. Still, there was no noticable noise from the hall so it worked out. It was a very pleasant stay for the price and I will definitely stay there again on future trips.

Overall, our experience at this hotel

Overall, our experience at this hotel was extremely satisfying. We were helped promptly upon arrival and had no problems with the room. The big screen TV was awesome! I think the hotel needs to update its decor -- the hallway colors are pretty ugly and dingy looking. It looks like the Crowne Plaza took over an older hotel and has not yet updated its decor. But the room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. We ate in the dining room every morning of our stay -- the breakfast buffet was okay, better than some, not as good as other places we have stayed, but decent if a little pricey. The location is good -- adjacent to several major roadways, but no discernible road noise. This was a good place to stay and we would definitely stay here again.
