The cost to stay here is much lower than many other airport hotels in the area. They offer amenities such as shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel is clean and quiet, though not a luxury hotel. It offers decent value for the cost when you factor in location. There is a trick to entering the address into GPS and internet-based maps (such as Google or MapQuest). If you type the address in this format, "600 US-1 & 9, Newark, Essex, New Jersey 07114, United States", it should be understood. You should call in advance for a faxed copy of printed directions. Your GPS or navigation unit will most likely not recognize their address. Overall, it was a great experience. The front desk, young gentleman for the overnight, and breakfast staff was great and friendly. There was a quick and efficient check in, acknowledgement as a Marriott elite rewards member, and an upgrade to a suite. The restaurant was open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a 24 hour snack store. There’s a good selection of restaurants around the area. The Spanish tavern is a good recommendation.
