The Baton Rouge Courtyard had a few friendly staff but for the most part it was pretty cold. The hot tub smelled funny like it had not been cleaned, each local call we found out cost 75 cents plus tax, Long distance calls from the rooms began at over five dollars just to dial out, plus tax. There is no wireless, just a plug in ethernet cable. This is most ill equipt Courtyard we have ever stayed at. Marriot really needs to take a look at this hotel because it is not up to their standards. It was clean but not Courtyard quality. The only plus is how close it is to LSU and it is quiet except for the train that comes through at 3am. There is also a outback beside it and a Lone star across from it. There is also a great creole resturant around the corner from it. The lady at the checkout counter was not happy to do this and give me a receipt. When I insisted to have a print out of the charge she did so. When I got my credit card receipt, I got a double charge for my room, one without the bottle of water and one with.
