The guest staying in the next room was a chain smoker and was smoking in their room. The smoke seeped through the door cracks between their room and ours. We called the front desk and reported the smoke; no one ever came. 2 hours later - smoke still filling our room. Walked to the front desk and demanded a new room or action on the smoker. No rooms were available. Had to deal with smoke in our room all night long. We just stayed at the Courtyard-Marriot overnight on the way back from Vegas (to the Bay Area). The hotel primarily exists for business travelers, but was great for our needs (traveling with small child): new, clean, free internet, huge hot tub (pseudo-enclosed), pool (though not available in winter). The hotel is 100% tobacco free, which is awesome. Nothing turns me off more than cigarette butts littering the hot tub area. They had a hot breakfast buffet for $10 and $6 for kids.
