It looked like an old hotel that they attempted to renovate (rusty handle on toilet, etc.). Asheville NC) and had two rings stolen out of my luggage during that stay in Aug. 2008. I reported it at the desk and was told that they would take care of everything and have a manager get in touch with me as I discovered the theft while packing to leave. One month later I am still trying to get it taken care of, and no police report was filed, as I thought it would be taken care of by the Marriott. The problem I had was a noisy air conditioner. I complained and a maintenance man was up to help me as soon as I got back to my room that afternoon. He said the units are noisy and nothing can be done until they are replaced which he expected to be soon with an upcoming remodel. I just think that for the price and Marriots reputation, an air conditioner should not be noisy, and if they are, replace them! When we got there to check in there was no king rooms available, i asked if they had overbooked she said no there was a problem with the room, I asked to see the problem and the woman said that was not my business.... so I was not happy to spend my aniversary in separate beds but we did, also the breakfast was horrible.
