And the Days Inn hotline number refused to help us!!! Our detector kept beeping. We called the service desk and were informed that no one - no owner, no manager, no maintenance person - was available. Finally, the owner's children (teenagers) came to the room and couldn't open the detector. They called someone from Super 8 Motel. He opened the dectector. No battery was inside. The detector was beeping due to faulty wiring. The wiring for the detector had to be separated in order for the beeping to stop. We were told that it would be fixed in the morning. It wasn't. We were told there were no other connecting rooms available. Due to very serious circumstances, we needed connecting room. We also noted that rooms 240 and 241 - which were connecting rooms - did not have guests. We were also informed that our money would not be refunded so that we could go to another motel/hotel. I will never stay at any Days Inn again.
