the nerve

Because my cousin attends Family First Academy, my family chose to stay at this hotel for the location. We stayed for two nights. At first glance, this place seemed pretty good. The room was clean, the breakfast was great, and the staff was accommodating.
Usually though, when you come back to a hotel room the next night, you usually find the shampoos and soap replaced. Nope, we did not. Only the bed was made.
Then, when we left, i had left behind my cell phone charger. So I called them the next day, telling them the exact location of where it would be (hanging in an outlet under a table). Housekeeping told me they would call me whether they found it or not, but I still havent received a call. Same thing with my camera.
Overall, the place has a good price. But I'm still suspicious with the credibility of the staff. I give it three stars...I would give more, the experience with the staff left a very bad impression.

We had a Splash Lagoon Super Sunday package, which apparently comes in all different prices. Even though we booked in advance we somehow paid more than another family who booked the day before. Go figure. But, since this was our first time ever to Splash Lagoon and Comfort Inn, it was worth the few extra bucks. Upon arrival, you sense an instant feel of cozy hominess and just want to hang out in the lobby by the fireplace. At check-in time the hotel front desk was packed! So come a little later. But, Jay and Jill kept their cool accomodating as many people as quick as possible. Jay was especially very friendly and helpful to us. Note: If you have kids, when making the reservations thru Splash Lagoon, check out Comfort Inn's Family Room package with bunk beds instead of the king/double. Our room was cleaned spotless by Mary and smelled so fresh. She didn't forget a thing unlike me who forgot our winter coats hanging in the closet. The huge indoor pool was enjoyed by my family until 11:00 pm closing. The breakfast area was big and well stocked by more friendly faces of the Comfort Inn staff ladies. It was very, very busy in the morning with 4 or 5 waffle griddles at a constant GO. Even though the hotel was almost fill to capacity...it was quiet. All those little kids and it was still quiet. Thanks for making our stay a good one! John and Bobbie Hughes, John Jr 10 and Daniel 8.

PS. I guess if I had to say one negative thing, it would be that you have to walk a good ways, I mean a good ways, up stairs and down stairs and through corridors to get through the Comfort Inn and then the Residence Inn to get to Splash Lagoon. But, considering the Residence Inn and Holiday Inn Express are much more expensive, the walk was worth it even if I needed a GPS to get there.

We have stayed at this location 4 times at Christmas and summer; the rooms were always clean, the jacuzzi and pool were great (no hair in the jucuzzi as suggested by another reviewer); the free breakfast is simple but all you can eat of buscuits and gravy, hard-boiled eggs, and you-make-em waffles. We return this Xmas for a 5th visit. The value has always been excellent. We stayed at the BelAire this summer and because we had a "group rate" they denied us points in their club; we will not be returning to the Comfort Inn BelAire.

Excellent Choice for families

This hotel was perfect for our family of 5. The beds and room were nice sizes. It was close to many restaurants, I79 and Splash Lagoon. It was a short drive to the Mall, grocery stores, Waldameer Park and the beach.

The surrounding area is very nice as well (away from hustle and bustle).

The rooms were clean and the workers were friendly and helpful.

My kids loved the free & freshly made cookies!

We had a leak in the bathroom ceiling. But when we told the people at the front desk, they apologized and took care of everything.

We will definitely be staying here on our next visit to the area.

Was not worth the $139 for 1 person. They wouldn't let me use a coupon. Hair in the jacuzzi, coffee maker & sofa were broken, and underneath the bed had several old rose petals that hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. Could not get internet connection. Looked clean other than that. Breakfast was good, included in the $139. In comparison to other hotels this was a thumbs down. The guy at the counter was not the greatest help.

The location and availability. The breakfast wasn't outstanding.“We stayed at this hotel (which is somewhat near splash lagoon) simply to get away and swim in the pool. For two smaller children it was a perfect pool--very shallow and the hot tub was lukewarm (my son takes hotter baths than the hot tub). However, for us it worked out well because even the kids could go in the hot tub. For a romantic getaway, though--you may want to try elsewhere. The rooms were sufficiently clean and nice (except for the hair dryer malfunction that shot flames out of the back of it). Not a 4 star hotel, but a good hotel (especially if you have kids) for the price.”

I definitely liked the friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast room is too small for such a busy hotel.“This hotel is ideally situated to interstate, shopping, restaurants, entertainment and other things to see in eerie. The hotel is nicely designed and although very busy was very quiet. The idea of a pool is attractive but the odor of chlorine made use of the pool impossible. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan to return there in the fall of 2007.”
