This hotel is easy to find with its distinguishing terra-cotta color. Its friendly staff helps you in any way possible as well as a parking lot.

For the price paid, it's a good value, but not in a great location.

Can't wait to go back to San Francisco again!

I really like their facilities and amenities as well. Staffs were friendly and helpful. I was given a top floor room which was nice and quiet. I especially like their refrigerator in that room where I stayed and it seems like it's new and clean. Great location.

The muni buses such the #43 Masonic, #41 Union and the #45 Union-Stockton are so convenient to take.

Highly recommended!

OK, except...

The location was great. It is an easy flat walk to Fishermans Wharf. It was a short steep walk to the cable car or a longer flat one.

The room was nothing special, but was OK except:
1. There was some mold growing on the ceiling in the shower, not a lot but if you are alergic I would avoid them.
2. Traffic noise was kind of loud. It didn't bother me much, but if you are fussy about that it you might.
3. They advertised free in room internet, which they did not have. When I questioned them they claimed it was being worked on and would be working soon. I got the destinct impression that they were not telling the truth and sure enough it was still not working a week later. This was a major hassle since we planned to do a lot of our planning while there and needed to stay in touch via email. It was especially disappointing since it was one of the main reasons we picked them in the first place. They did let us plug in to their jack the lobby of the office after we complained, but that is a long way from what was promised in their ad.

If it hadn't been for the fact that they didn't provide in room internet as advertised I would have rated them higher. To their credit I see that they have fixed their ad and are no longer claiming in room internet is included. They should have been honset with us about it when we were there though.

Good Location. Ambiable staff. Old, small, but well maintained property. Very good restaurant (Baker Street Bistro) around the corner. Limited parking (Get there early!).
