Don't be fooled

The people are friendly, the location is great if you want to be near USC's stadium but not if you want anything else (unless you want to be near the railroad tracks). The place has obviously had a surface cosmetic makeover in order to join the Country Hearth corporation. The non-smoking rooms were obviously painted over and the carpet cleaned and of course, that means you can still smell smoke everywhere. Especially when in the halls or stairway. If you expect the internet rate make sure you have your reservation printed out and in hand because they will try to raise the rate at least $10/night.
In short, the place is a dump that's had an attempted makeover. If you pay $50/night and all you wanted was a place to crash, it's not disgusting. Any expectations beyond that and you will be disappointed.

Great for football games...

This place is in an excellent location to the football stadium and it's the only one that close to the stdium. Pretty decent prices for the location to downtown b/c right down the street you're paying $100+ to stay. Would reccommend but don't expect anything fancy.

Nasty

It is just plain gross. There is nothing clean about it. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in and I travel 10 months a year.

Definitely low budget

This is the only hotel that is within easy walking distance of the USC footbal stadium. We should have known it wasn't the greatest when we were still able to book a room on the night of a home football game. We paid $70 for a two bed room. It was clean but definitely cheap, The beds were uncomfortable, some of the lights didn't work and the TV was so old that all of the controls had broken off. We were woken up repeatedly during the night by trains passing very close by. The continental breakfast was donuts that had been refrigerated, two types of cold cereal, coffee served in 4 oz cups and some sort of orange drink in a gallon jug. Services such as internet access or even finding a place to buy a newspaper just don't exist .
If you're looking for the least expensive place near the stadium, this is not bad, otherwise I would recommend you spend a few more bucks and go somewhere else.

why is the cost so high for only two nights

I felt like this if we have to pay around 40-70 dolllars for two night then we should have better things to there like swimming and haing better breakfest there I feel that for only two night it should be 50 dollars
