I recently spent several days waiting out Hurricane Katrina at the comfort Suites in Monroe, La.
The lobby was a zoo with all those people trying to get a room. Luckily we had a reservation in advance. I was really impressed with how calm and polite the staff was in the middle of all that craziness. If I had to work that front desk I would have been pulling my hair out.
The staff was great. The rooms were very clean.
They have a wonderful continental breakfast that comes with your room. Eggs sausage, biscuits, waffles, fruit, and an assortment of juice and cereals to choose from. And let's don't forget--coffee!!!

PROS: great food and service
CONS: can be hard to get A ROOM . MAKE A RESERVATION
