We arrived in Madison late in the evening. We waited in line to check in--it was late--why the wait??? We finally got our room. We trudged to the room. We opened the door to the worst musty smell! We called the front desk to complain. We were told that other rooms of a similar status were full. Funny--I could literally count the number of cars, there were so few in the parking lot. No upgrade was offered. I asked what they could do about the smell. They suggested opening the window. My youngest daugher was so exhausted. We decided to forget the smell, use our own sheets and get out of there right away in the AM. The continental breakfast was very generous. The hotel is nice, and clean. The lobby is right in front of the door, so the staff greets you right away! The staff, my oh my, wonderful! Hands down, no question some of the best I've seen.
