We made reservations last minute and have stayed at Choice hotels before with no real issues. 1. Room was great....well, other than the hole patched in the ceiling that was breaking away. High speed internet only if you're in the right room. It is advertised as all rooms, but if you don't have the "blue" outlet than you out of luck. They do have wireless in the lobby is. But you have to go outside to get back into the lobby. Pool is so small and filthy. I refused to let my kids in. We have a family cabin on a lake, so usually pools are a treat....not here. 2. Front desk is helpless. Too busy visiting with the guest before us to even bother to check us in. Just said come back at 2 pm. Well, it's 1:45 pm and I am pretty sure by the time the paperwork was done it would've been fine. I hated to interupt his visit with his "friend". Bottom line is read the reviews and never rush in a decision. This place was a disaster from check in to check out. We turned over the sheets and saw like 6 more bugs crawling around....WELL we woke the kids up and turned over their sheets to find more bugs. The hotel didn't charge us for the two nights and apologized, not good enough!!!! I compained to Choice Hotels and they also apologized, still not good enough. Anyways two days later we developed rashes all over our bodies and they are itchy as hell. Two weeks have passed and I still have the itchy rashes. Bathroom was full of ants. Hall carpets are stained to the gagging point. Entry key stopped working within hours. Charged extra to park car as if this were some high-end hotel. Informed front desk of ant problem upon checkout. No comment or offer of discount . Tried to stay for another night (in another room) and was told price went up $40 for Friday night. Obvious LIAR. Going directly to the Comfort Inn/Suites website shows Friday night prices exactly the same as the rest of the week. Even at the correct regular rate this place is definitely overpriced. Staff friendly, front desk personnel, excellent. N/S room large, clean, equipped with small frig, micro, coffee maker. Linens clean, changed daily. Our 3rd floor location very quiet. Continental breakfast was fine. No problem parking. Small market, Japanese restaurant, sub shop, pizza, coffee shop 1 block south. Hallway carpet very stained. Left turn onto Highland nearly impossible. One block north can turn right at light with easy turn around.
