The locks to the pool doors were broken so the only way back to the room was through the parking lot. The front desk refused to help and after getting false phone numbers from the front desk to contact the owner/manager we finally found the infomation on the internet. The owners/managers suggestion when we told him of the problems was that he can't control the guest AND we should call the police. The trouble was the phone[s] he told us to call from didn't work! It was convenient to have a microwave and small fridge in the room. The hotel location was good for us. Neutral: The continental breakfast was about as minimal as they come. The negatives: The excercise room equipment was broken. Our room smelled like smoke even though it was supposed to be a dedicated non-smoking room. Hotel management responded to our complaint with a spray bottle of "Fabreeze". The owner of this hotel also owns the Days Inn next door, a wreck of a hotel with questionable guests. He permits thoses those guests to use the Baymont's pool since Days Inn has none. The bed was very comfortable. he service was way above average in friendliness and helpfulness. Good continental breakfast.
