Half the building is cut off in construction, there was no pool and they lied about being pet friendly like they say in the magazine. I brought my dog all the way from Dallas and was told to get him out by midnight, which was very inconsiderate especially since I knew nothing about Des Moines and was not going to let my dog out on the street! I will not stay there again and shortly after the event, I rented out an apartment! The only great thing about this place is that is cheap! One year we could not get into the hotel because it was booked. We ended up staying in the Days Inn and it was horrible. This will be our 5th year staying in this hotel.
