They have a new menu in the restaurant and the food was incredible, it is an italian menu. The room was poorly kept, mattresses were rock hard and the bathroom had rust and mold covering the ceiling tiles. Funny thing was they painted over the problem... not fixing it. Water stains and a rotting door way were easliy noted not to mention the giant water spot back of the doorway in the carpet. Mattresses on the beds were terrible...absolutely no support...felt like you were sinking to the ground. Hair from previos guests in bathroom on floor and wall. Carpet stained. Microwaves to heat up the frozen egg omlettes had little power...set up on small cramped counter with no room to manouver...guests cramped together bumping into one another...terrible...obviously not well thought out. Waterpark great for the kids however the staff sitting at the waterslide might as well as not be there...very unfriendly towards the kids often looking quite disgusted to be there. When June of 2008 rolled around and our wedding guests started calling to make reservations the hotel staff did not have our information saved and did not offer any help to our wedding guests. They said that they had never heard of us before. When I heard of this and called the Holidy Inn myself I was transfered to the sales department. They repeatedly told me that they were "looking" for my information and that they would get right back to me. They NEVER called. I called on 3 separate occasions and did not hear back from them. My fiance tried calling twice and had no response or help offered as well. We got a non-smoking room with 2 queen beds, very comfy. But when we walked in the room it was so stuffy in there so I rushed to open a window and to my dismay I found that we were stuck in a room that overlooked the hallway to the pool, so therefore there was no window for fresh air. The fan did rotate but it didn't do much more. I'm one of those people that requires fresh air. Had I known that would happen I would have asked for a window to the outside world, but how was I to know? There was also a light from the window that shone in our window the whole night, the room darkening curtains didn't close and it was just a set of sheers to try and stop this light. But the room was clean, the shower was nice, and the TV worked.
