I was very impressed with this Inn. The service and accommodations are very good. They were very prompt with their questions of instructions as were places were located in the city. Will stay again!

A Great Place to Stay with Great Service!

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty; they met us at the door, unloaded our luggage, parked our car, and made sure that we had everything that we needed for our stay. The room was very nice. The consierge service went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and to accomodate us in our plans.

HATED the Church Street Inn

I was very dissapointed in the Church Street Inn - the only good thing I can say is that it is in a great location. The rooms need some immediate upgrading!!! Our room was in horrible shape. The bathroom was disguisting! My husband and I wouldn't even walk on the carpet without shoes or socks. The owners of these timeshares need to put some money into renovations asap! I am definitely fine with a historic hotel but one that has been taken care of. The only reason we stayed here is because I won a trip through work and when we went to check out the hotel staff claimed they had no record of the room being paid for, etc. When I got back to work and talked with the individual that made the reservation she said that they had the credit card on file to charge when we departed. I'll definitely not be back - save your money for some of the other beautiful hotels in Charleston - there are so many to pick from!!!

What a dump!!!

Where to start? The decision to purchase a timeshare at this dump is quite possibly the worst financial decision that I have ever made. Do yourselves a favor and run away from the folks on the street trying to lure you into this joke of an inn. My wife and I were shown a room on our "grand tour" that was indeed very nice. Since purchasing our timeshare some four years ago, we are yet to stay in a room that will even compare. We were charged a renovation fee some two years ago, and guess what happened this summer...the place still sucks! Take it from someone who knows, if you plan on spending your money on a time share, do yourself a favor and purchase one somewhere other than the dreaded Church Street Inn.

What's Not to Like

We have stayed at Church Street Inn three times during our 25 visits to Charleston. The location is perfect. The only time we used our car was to go to the Islands or to a plantation.

Food and shopping and entertainment right outside your door. Always treated great by all employees.

Sleeping accommodation were horrible

My sister and brother-in-law slept in the bed, my wife and I slept on the sofa bed. The four of us complained about how uncomfortable it was. The sofa was so bad we had to use it's pillows to sleep or otherwise it would have been impossible to sleep on it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Absolutely perfect!

We have been timeshare owners at Church Street Inn for 3 years. You will not find another place to stay that is more ideal. The Inn is located adjacent to the Market and fantastic restaurants are all within walking distance. Parking is convenient and valet service is always available. However, we park and walk everywhere without using the car again. Take a pedicab if you don't want to walk too far. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the kitchen is clean and fully stocked. I love the balcony off the bedroom which overlooks the Market. The staff is always ready to help in any way they can. Visit Church Street Inn and experience the true meaning of Southern hospitality. If you are looking for a timeshare to buy, check into one at Church Street. However, don't be disappointed if there are none available because timeshares at Church Street are in high demand.

The inn is designed like a townhouse.

The inn is designed like a townhouse. As such, it offers a living room, kitchen, and bathroom on the first floor, and a bedroom and bath on the second.Since it is a townhouse design, it is necessary to climb stairs to the bedroom. We chose the church street inn because we enjoy staying in time-share units that provide a living room and kitchen in addition to the bedroom. It is very attractive and clean and is located in historic Charlestown close to many shops and restaurants. There is a manager on duty 24-hours a day who definitely does everything possible to be an example of southern hospitality. It is not a hotel in the sense of the word, e. G. No food service, pools, etc., but is a lovely, cozy inn.

They don't honor reservations!

I made a reservation here two months in advance, paid for the room, and after my credit card was charged, we were told 10 days before we were going to leave that they no longer had any rooms for us.

Then they tried to say they would give us some of our money back! Needless to say I demanded all of it back.

It sounds like it's a pattern with this place. Because of the late notice, I couldn't find any rooms in Charleston for a reasonable rate and ended up cancelling the whole vacation. It's not worth the risk to show up and find out they aren't going to honor their reservations. Stay away!
