So the Crazy hair lady is gone...

pros: Lots of pimpsHere we go again... Another one down , how many more to go?
Its seems that Chambers' "Pizaz" is to "burn" (ett) people out of their wits. This self absorbed establishment has lost all its charm. In the city its the worst talked about in regards to employement and work ethics.
Who knows maybe the crazy hair lady was the mother root of all this mishaps. Maybe they will realize that more valuable than the chaotic art, is the staff who puts forward the show. Who knows... That place has too many issues and a very bad ora. Stay elsewhere.

I actually really like the hotel. The staff was super nice when I stayed there, the front desk staff explained all the artwork to me and the oustide lounge area is really fantastic. I love non americana hotels....the hotels that are overdone and over decorated. This hotel is clean simple and sleek. Though i do think it is a hair overpriced.

I was here last year for a private party and it is beautiful. Reminds me of all the glitz, glamour and sophistication of NY. Not sure how it is on the weekend though.

Where did everyone go?

pros: Free Gallery (if you qualify that as art)Has anyone noticed how Chambers is a ghost town? Where did everyone go? I guess the prices, attitude and lack of service scared everyone away! Seriously, it was such a great concept. The staff was great. All the management but ONE (the GM) where great! Now it went down the hill. It actually has a very bad reputation. I ask people about Chambers and not one has anything good to say. Its just a stail property and its only one year old!! They must be hurting very bad. I recommend the Westin, The Graves and even the Marriott over Chambers. They have their act together. With the IVy opening up, Chambers is going to suffer more. I know the W is owned by the same owner of the Chambers. The big difference is that the W is a Starwood property and they have plans. They will also qualify the Management team and staff. Also provide training.

What a Bust!

pros: Food and Specialty DrinksI have been to the Chambers at least once a month since it opened atleast a year ago if I'm correct? It opened with the deserved fan fare....It was a great place for Minneapolis! They had it together in the beginning with a great professional team and really friendly management. Now it is all gone as are the customers that made it all the more interesting. I liked being recognized by the managers and the staff there in the beginning now it sounds like the owner has run them all out from what our goosipy cocktail server was telling us.

The food quality I still consider very high quality and the menu items creative, however, the menu could use some more frequent updating and some specials from Jean-Georges to see how they might fly with us locals. I've never seen JG at the restaurant and think that would help your business if he actually came to the restaurant once in a while. The server had been there several months and said he only comes in 2-3 x's a year. I've seen him at Spice in NYC twice!

Wine list was not updated as the wine we order was not in stock which happens, however, when asking the server for a recommendation we got the "deer in the head lights look". Also the wine by the glass is very limited for a quality Chard & Cab. $15-22 / glass. Not really into that cheap stuff sitting on the back bar left open for a few days.

I had a VIP for Target stay there and she said the halls are dark and banged up with a stain on her carpet. She'll be going back to Graves.

I really like the Chambers food but everything else really needs some attention like a smile and some eye contact from the staff and management like when it opened.

Net Net......food quality and creativity 4 stars.
Staff friendliness and service 1 star.
                    Wine list 2 stars
                    Cleaniness 1 Stars
                    Guestroom 2 stars (friends opion)
Location 0 stars (she didnt feel safe in that neighborhood)

Tacky staff. poor management.

pros: NewThis place has struggled from the beginning. It?s the new Bellanote. The cocky attitude and lack of training of the management and staff shows in the delivered product. This property has received numerous undeserved accolades. Truly, it was a great concept. Unfortunately the GM hired to open this hotel lead it to it failure. There is a lot of broken dishes to repair. From the harsh memories that ex employees have from working there, to the arrogance that they portrait with no deserving.

This hotel is for Pimps

pros: Great for pimpsIf you like wearing long gold chains, purple suits and white shiny shoes... then go to Chambers Hotel Minneapolis. I would recommend driving in a car with gold rims, and hydraulics. NOT what the owner had in mind.
Sadly -
Well the food is still good but the service is slow. When are they going to roll out the new menu with Okra and fried catfish?

The TREND IS OVER

pros: The Westin is here If this is truly one of the top hotels in the country , then America has a lot to worry about.
I would describe this hotel using two words. OVER-RATED, BORING.
Where is the staff coming from? I was there the second month this hotel had opened. However the hipe is over. With the hipe the staff left as well. It used to be staffed with a knowledgeable staff. Not any more. No quality people. The hotel is starting to look old and dirty. The food is not as great as it was at first. The desserts went down the drain. They used to be amazing. I heard the pastry chef is not there anymore.
I was hoping for this to be THE HOTEL , but they lack personality. Every time I go its all new people. That is discomforting.
The crowd is now full of New money bellanote style people. Cheesy and un classy. Its sad this hotel went down so fast.
They have it all wrong!

Chambers is going to GET A LOT BETTER

pros: Great art , food and drinksI heard GREAT changes are happening at Chambers hotel. Starting with NEW MANAGENT. It can only get better. The atmosphere should clear out and the staff will seem happier. Chambers has a lot of potential and I think we will see it now. Its a beautiful hotel and it has a lot to offer. Minneapolis needs a place like that. Cheers to Chambers and the people that made the change. You should hang a huge ORANGE banner reading: "UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT" Good luck!
