Fantastic Hotel

The Casas de Suenos is absolutely the best hotel in Albuquerque. This 21 room is located next to the Old Town Histoic district and according to the front desk is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The rooms are quaint and well decorated. I reccommen on of the suites located around the central courtyard (are room was called the El Rincon). Breakfast each day included fresh fruit, cereals, breads, yogurt and pancakes, french toast or a southwestern burritto. The staff went our of thier way to make us feel at home. If you want to feel like you really stayed in Albuqueruqe and had a taste of the southwest, i highly reccommend this hotel.

A True Convert

We travelled to New Mexico from Michigan for a family funeral and stayed at your enchanting Casa. My wife had never been to the Southwest and she did not take to it kindly; the landscape just looked harsh and altogether inhospitable.

However, after a weekend at Casa de Suenos, she was ready to move to Albuquerque and live at the Casa forever, if that were possible. You have made a true convert. Kudos to your wonderful, thoughtful, and caring staff!

Thank you!

We stayed only one night, as we were traveling. I think we were the only guests for that night. The rooms are 1930s vintage, small, but relatively well maintained and decorated. The service and breakfast was good. No complaints

Great place -- will return. Because of the larger number of guests, anticipate a significant wait for breakfast. Food was good.

The dreamiest inn in Albuquerque

Casas de Sueno was the site of a mini family reunion, where my siblings, spouses and significant others gathered to celebrate our baby sister's 40thbirthday. We came from all over the US. I organized the reunion, reserving five rooms, all with different arrival times...and I can tell you, without hesitation, that dealing with the staff at Casas was a dream. They did their utmost to make us feel welcome and treated our motley group with the utmost care and courtesy.

The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms were outstanding -- no complaints from any of my family. The breakfast beats most big name hotels for value and presentation.

The casitas vary in terms of amenities; they are very private, comfortable in size and furnishings and very clean, though not ultra-luxurious. They are full of folkloric charm and reflect their history as the site of a major artists colony.

We can hardly wait to go again.

My son, Scott and I arrived at Casa de Suenos at 8pm last evening after 4 days of travel from Miss. to CA. Your front desk lady, Alicia met us with a warm smile and helpful suggestions regarding restaurants (we dined at Church St. Cape.) We were more than pleased with our room accommodations, the gardens, the breakfast. We were planning to be on our way at 6am; however the peace and comfort of Casas De Suenos convinced us to stay longer. God bless.

Outstanding lodging: rooms are spotless, large, comfortable, quiet and decorated tastefully with Southwest art and handcrafted artifacts. Bathrooms are small and spartan, but they work and they are clean.
The grounds are glorious: a courtyard urban Eden in the midst of downtown Albuquerque.

By far the best best B&B dining experience in all my travels in many states. CdeS operates more like a restaurant than a family kitchen. You can eat anytime between 7 and 10 a.m. Menu: fresh fruit, cereal, pastries and coffee served at a breakfast bar. Order eggs, pancakes or waffles as you like 'em with bacon or sausage. All served in a glass-walled conservatory dining room or outdoors in the courtyard gardens.

Customer service is impeccable. We had a group of 10 in five rooms, for a family reunion, and the manager was gracious and responsive. He could not do enough to make us feel right at home.

We will be back!

Mixed Review.

"Funky" was used in another review and I agree. Room was adequate size and well-decorated; bathroom extremely small. Maid service was inconsistent, arriving early the first day when we needed only towels, and not arriving at all the second day. Gardens are nice. Air conditioning functioned poorly, if at all, and high speed fan was noisy. Highlight of this establishment is the individually prepared breakfast. No outside porch light at this casita and it was difficult to use the keys after dark.

A unique piece of Albuquerque

I really have no complaints what so ever abotu my stay. They called to make sure that my flight arrived on time and let me know the room wasn't just ready when I arrived into town.

I stayed in the Ive Cottage...and it was a wonderful casita. A nice added bonus was the wood burning fireplace that you can stock yourself.

The only thing I was cautious about was the neighborhood. It's not the best not the worst neighborhood, but the inn's grounds are very safe at gated for nights.
